About this listen

I’m excited to share with you my book of poems. My late mother was a poet, so I guess poetry is alive and kicking in my DNA. Poetry is a matter of taste, so please don’t take this book too seriously - simply read it for the sake of enjoyment.

The book contains 100 poems relating to a variety of life experiences we all come across from time-to-time - some poems are a little quirky too. This, of course, is the first book of poetry I’ve produced, and I cannot tell you what an enjoyable experience it was to write it - in fact, it was fascinating; I might even be brave enough to write another book of poems later down the line.

I’m convinced we all have a creative edge in our lives, so let me encourage you to write your own poem, or a song or even a sonnet - I’m sure we all have a bit of Shakespeare in us.

Poetry is also a therapeutic experience - something I hadn’t realised until I started this project, simply because writing about the things around us stops us from becoming introspective - it’s a bit like being self-aware, all over again.

Therefore, I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I have enjoyed writing it - thank you for buying my book.
