About this listen

Welcome to Phantasma.

There are only two rules to the game. Stay alive. And don’t fall in love.

When Ophelia’s sister disappears, there is only one way to save her. Ophelia must enter Phantasma, a deadly contest inside a haunted mansion, and claim its prize—a single wish.

Phantasma is a maze of twisting corridors and lavish ballrooms, of demons and temptations. Ophelia will face nine challenges, each more dangerous than the last. There can only be one winner, and the other contestants will stop at nothing to eliminate their rivals.

Every day the house creates new monsters. But just as Ophelia’s fears threaten to overwhelm her, a mysterious stranger offers her a bargain.

Charming, arrogant and infuriatingly attractive, Blackwell claims he can guide her through the lethal trials ahead. All he asks in return is ten years of her life.

Ophelia knows she shouldn’t trust him. Blackwell doesn’t seem dangerous, but appearances can be deceptive. Worse still, she feels a dark and irresistible attraction drawing them closer and closer.

Her life is on the line. But in Phantasma, the only thing deadlier than losing the game is losing your heart…

A Court of Thorns and Roses meets Caraval in this seductive fantasy adventure. With steamy romance, a sexy morally gray love interest, OCD rep and jaw-dropping twists, Phantasma is perfect for fans of Rebecca Yarros, Nisha J. Tuli and Carissa Broadbent.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I love that this was a gothic romance that was able to be wrapped up in 1 book without having to become invested in a series as most of these types of novels become. It was also solid all the way through and didn’t have any boring filler sections. I appreciate the authors ability to make the main characters more real and by doing so bring more light on people’s very real struggles with mental health.

Amazing!

Wow. Not sure where to start. First off this type book is not my usual speed. But this book was incredible. The action, the twists , the spice, the romance and the true feeling that this book involved was amazing. I was right there with Ophelia. I felt everything she did so deeply. The Betrayal, the fear, the heat, and the heart break. This book does portray OCD, and it added so much to the story. Thank you to Kaylie Smith. I have never understood the true impact of OCD until now. This was one of the best books I read this year and I can not wait for the next one.

Worth all of the hype.

What a wild ride. Like, holy moly. I like to go in blind to books so I can be surprised, so I had no idea OCD would part of the story, but I'm glad it was. I feel like I was meant to read this. It was hard at first to hear someone else going through what I have, but I'm glad I stuck with it. To write such vivid scenes can only come from experience. I've lived with OCD all my life, but was only recently diagnosed. Not many people know just how scary this disorder can be. Ophelia's (your) symptoms are SO similar to mine, it's nuts. Kaylie, thank you for sharing your experiences with the world. I can't wait to read this book again.

This book is amazing. The narrator did a fabulous job with the male and female voices. I would completely recommend this book.

This story is so good. It was a bit of a slow start for me. But when ophie got into phantasma, things started to pick up. The dark themes, the lore, the challenges, and the romance. The ending was interesting. Some of it was expected. Some of it was unique. But also, some of it felt rushed. No major complaints though.

So good

Loved this audible! I would’ve preferred a males voice with a male character, but other than that the story made it so enticing! Full of mystery and magic along with smut and demons it was such a binge listen! Looking forward to more stories from this author!

This story was creepy and sexy and fun. The perfect October read. The narrator was amazing! This story was single POV but the way she subtly switched from character to character was impressive.

Spooky and fun story and the narration was perfection
