Agatha is a Hawk, brave and fierce, who protects her people by patrolling the high walls of their island home. She is proud of her job, though some in her clan whisper that it is meant to keep her out of the way because of the condition she was born with. Jaime, thoughtful and anxious, is an Angler, but he hates the sea. Worse, he’s been chosen for a duty that the clan hasn’t required for generations: to marry. The elders won’t say why they have promised him to a girl in a neighboring clan, but there are rumors of approaching danger.

Lovely and amazing book
Would you listen to Petra on the Path of Buddha again? Why?
Yes, it's my favorite one. I find the storyline to be inspiring
What did you like best about this story?
Message about valuing unmaterial things in this life
Any additional comments?
I truly do enjoy the cultural message in these Petra books. This one, Petra on the Path of Budha is my favorite one. Storyline is funny and easy to read (follow), but still there is a nice and educational message – about respecting your parents and about valuing unmaterial things. I do find books that teach children about different cultures and that supports their eagerness to explore to be really inspiring. and this truly one of those books.

A wonderful trip to Shri Lanka
What made the experience of listening to Petra on the Path of Buddha the most enjoyable?
Like Petra, I too, dislike the winter and spring and love the summer. This made me for a moment feel like it's almost summer when in reality even spring is still just a whisper of a shadow. I should try to take in some of Darśana's wisdom. Maybe I'll even give meditation a chance.
What other book might you compare Petra on the Path of Buddha to and why?
This made me want to read/listen to Kahlil Gibran's prophet, again.
Have you listened to any of Lizzie Jones Stables’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. I will check out the other Petra books, though.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, definitely.
Any additional comments?
I could not help but admire Darśana's patience throughout the story :)
