A fun collection of stories
I always enjoy hearing more Big Red and Old Red (or Little Red) stories. The writing is great, the humor is on point, and the narration is pitch perfect.

Big Red and Old Red Ride Again!
I’m a big fan of this series, but this is the first installment I’ve listened to on audiobook. It’s a delight. Chuck Galco is perfect as the voice of the narrator, Big Red Amlingmeyer, bring the tales of crime fighting in the old west to vivid life.

Easy listening!
I love this series so much and really enjoy the dynamics of listening to a novel, a novella, or a set of short stories. This whole set of short stories was so fun and entertaining to listen to, I just happened to be listening to the Christmas story right around Christmas in real life and it was the perfect pairing. Old Red and Big Red are my favorite duo to listen to on long trips and this set of short stories did not disappoint!

Holmes on the Range delights in short form
If you're one of those who says, "I only read novels," you should reconsider. Steve Hockensmith is brilliant in short stories as well. These five stories will delight you with his trademark mix of Western humor, suspense, and heart. Highly recommended!

LOVED IT
Excellent collection of short stories! I can't pick a favorite of them. They're all equally unique and have twists I didn't expect. I haven't read all the HOMES ON THE RANGE stories, so if you haven't either this seems like it'll be fine to read. However, I will be reading the rest of the series.

A Fun Collection of Old West Mysteries
This is a collection of five stories from the Holmes on the Range mysteries by Steve Hockensmith. The Amlingmeyer brothers are always ready to step in and help those who need an Old West mystery solved, and Old Red's deducifying skills are put to good use here. Fans will love these stories, and those new to the series will find themselves looking for the full-length books, starting with "Holmes on the Range." Some Old West-appropriate violence, no foul language, no sexual content. The audiobook was narrated excellently by Chuck Galco.
