About this listen
Your child’s hyperactive mind is actually a blessing, not a curse. Here’s what you need to know….
One minute everything is good; your child is calm and focused. But then, in the blink of an eye, something changes—now they’re hysterical, screaming, and getting them to sit still for even half a second is suddenly impossible. Do you often sit there and worry about your child's temper, wishing there was something you could do to help them calm down a bit, but not knowing where to start? Is their frustration leaving you frustrated, causing you both to spiral out of control? You’re not alone.
There are over 6.4 million parents feeling exactly what you are feeling right now. With some deeper insight into what ADHD actually is and how it affects your child's brain, paired with a practical guide for how to effectively navigate this situation, you’ll soon find that your child's “problem” isn’t actually a problem at all.
In Parenting Strategies for Raising ADHD Children, you’ll discover:
- How ADHD is affecting your child's brain chemistry, and why understanding this is the key to making the right decisions for them
- The number one thing your child needs from you and how you can give it to them best
- Why your child’s hyperactive mind is actually a good thing and what you can do to help them realize this
- Effective strategies for teaching your child how to express their emotions in a way that you can actually understand
- Why you shouldn't force your child to do things a certain way and how this will help them be more relaxed
- A play-by-play action guide for helping your child navigate the difficult world of peer pressure
- How to help your child overcome their limiting beliefs and begin to truly connect with the truth of who they are
Your child needs you to step in and help them understand who they truly are, and why their way of being isn’t actually a problem. More importantly, you also need to give yourself some much-needed breathing room and time for relaxation.

If you’re interested in making money with stocks, you’re not alone. A recent Gallup poll showed that nearly 6 in 10 American adults have money in the stock market. But unless you’ve previously worked as an investment banker, you might have better odds of making money at the casino than with stocks. In fact, researchers from the University of California found that 90 percent of retail investors and day traders lose money. Which is why most people think winning in the stock market is simply a game of chance.

Story
One day, I was at a restaurant with my wife, and as we were finishing up our meal, our server handed us a survey form. Realizing neither of us had a pen, my wife told me to ask the server if we could borrow one to fill out the form. Instead of doing this, I walked to the parking lot, retrieved a pen from our car, and walked back to our table. It would’ve been easier to just borrow a pen, but I opted for the route that involved less social interaction. I did this automatically, without even thinking.

Great examples for Parents to Follow
This is the book that I wish was available when I was raising my children as my oldest had severe ADHD. Now, as I try to assist with my Granddaughter this book really sheds light on how to handle the everyday situations when they arise. Kudos to the author as she does an excellent job explaining all of the stages from young ages as well as they grow older. The book offers both practical and truly useful insights/tips. I highly recommend!

Lots of Golden Nuggets Details!
This book is an incredibly valuable resource. It presents a comprehensive guide to understanding ADHD and developing effective strategies for managing behavior, improving communication, and fostering academic success.
One of the key takeaways from the book is the importance of setting clear boundaries and expectations for children with ADHD. Elizabeth emphasizes the need for consistency and structure, and provides practical tips for developing routines and creating a positive and supportive environment.
Another valuable aspect of the book is the emphasis on communication. Elizabeth provides insights into the unique challenges facing ADHD children when it comes to communication, and offers tools and strategies for improving communication between parents and children.
The book also delves into academic success, offering strategies for helping ADHD children achieve their full potential in the classroom. Elizabeth addresses common concerns such as organization, time management, and working with teachers, and provides practical tools for parents to support their children's academic success.
Overall, I found this book to be an extremely helpful resource. The writing style is easy to understand and the organization of the book is logical and easy to follow. The content is well researched and backed up by a wealth of scientific literature.
One minor weakness of the book is that it may not provide enough information for those with more severe cases of ADHD, as many of the strategies presented are geared towards mild to moderate cases. As a parent of an ADHD child, I found the book to be refreshing and inspiring, offering practical solutions and ideas for managing ADHD behavior. The author's approach is positive and hopeful, focusing on the potential for growth and success with the right strategies in place.
In addition to the strategies presented in the book, I would like to emphasize the importance of taking care of oneself as a parent of an ADHD child. It can be exhausting and overwhelming to manage the challenges of ADHD, and it is important for parents to prioritize their own self-care in order to be effective caregivers.
I would recommend this book to any parent or caregiver of an ADHD child, but particularly those who are just beginning their journey with ADHD. The book provides a comprehensive introduction to understanding ADHD and developing effective strategies, making it an excellent resource for parents starting out on this journey.

This book contains incredible value
This book is packed with so much information on ADHD brain, your compulsive child. When you are new to ADHD disorder, you can take this as a serious disability. However, when you study deeply, you start to realise that you can turn disabilities into empowering strengths. Yes, it will be challenging to nurture your child from the very beginning. But with this knowledge, technics practises, and recommendations, you can apply gradually and see how your child responds. If so many famous people become super successful with ADHD disorder, your child can be the next Hero too. Many thanks to this author who shared her own story, and the stories of other children. How she helped many parents' children by opening her own practice and bringing the best to the table. Very inspiring what's possible. Thank You!

The real deal.
If you are a parent of a child with ADHD, you know how challenging it can be at times. It took me a long time to learn that if you have the right tools and knowledge, then difficult situations can be an opportunity to change and grow together. I love how the author explains the science behind why your child is hysterical at times and includes play-by-play action guides to help them navigate a challenging world. Highly recommend it if you want to help your child thrive. The narrator also has a great voice and excellent pacing.

Well Done on a Sensitive Topic
This is an outstanding reference audiobook to have in you library. For parents wanting to know more about ADHD with their own children, or possibly a relative, or even friend, or neighbor child I see this audiobook as useful in many ways. Certainly the author has done her research & packed a massive amount of good data into this one. You will not be disappointed from analytical standpoint, thanks for putting all that data into a digestible 3 hrs. Last thing, I enjoyed the pace of the narration as well.
