About this listen
Dr. Emma Steele is baffled when she finds herself dressed in mental health blues, tied to a stretcher, in her own ER.
She was hunting for a killer. She found him.
Just as he found her.
He planted evidence accusing her of his crimes.
She’s innocent, so she’ll be free soon. She has friends who’ll help.
Twice wrong.
Things can’t get any worse.
They do.
Her challenges: A community decimated by the raging opioid epidemic. A charming psychopath dealing in drugs and sex. A daughter who hates her. An ex who doesn’t. Blood, guts, and death. Betrayal. And wine.
A captivating audiobook for medical junkies. Growing suspense, breathless twists and turns, crisp dialogue, unforgettable characters, and dark ER humor. A cocktail of medicine and suspense in the vein of Gerritsen, Cornwell, and Cook.
You’ll love Overdose if you crave ER drama with split seconds separating life from death. You’ll love it if blood, drugs, and dislocated joints give you the warm fuzzies. You’ll love it if you long to see what’s inside the mind of a serial killer. Overdose: a novel with strong, flawed characters entangled in complicated relationships, life and death fights, and wine. Mostly red.

It’s hard meeting your ex after so much time apart. You remember the tears and accusations, the desperate look on his face as he punched the wall, but you try not to show it. You smile politely, even while your heart beats faster. You watch as he looks down into the stroller, at the beautiful blond-haired, blue-eyed baby kicking his little legs in the sunshine, whose innocent smile lights up your world. It’s a Thriller just like the title promises
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book so I just couldn’t stop listening. It’s packed full of intrigue and suspense with plenty of twist and turns to keep you guessing. Meghan Kelly did an amazing job with the narration, I don’t know how she managed to give all these characters a different voice and be able to switch back and forth so easily. Great book, loved the ending. Can’t wait for the next book

Medical Thriller with a bit of drama;)
To be honest the beginning of this book is a bit slow and underwhelming but once it picks up its pace you just can’t stop listening. I have a background in the medical world and found this to be really intriguing. The twists and plots surrounding Dr Steele take what she believes to be a lonely boring existence to the high heights of a soap opera. She never would have thought her life could go in this direction allowing her to better her relations and forge new ones. I was really rooting for her at the end and am extremely happy with how it ended and I want more. Meghan Kelly does a great job with the narration and giving life to this story.

Overdose on this thriller
This is not your typical listen . This thriller will have listening till the very end biting your nails . It tells about what happens in the hospitals and what the doctors go through. It’s a matter of life and death. Dr Jones is strong but feminine, honest, hardworking and giving . Dr. Jones is very responsible. The author will have you on twits and turns till the end looking for the killer. The story has many layers .
Dr. Jones works at the hospital and she sees something that has her worried . There are more overdoses happening then normal. Her one purpose is to find out why and who and how .
Meghan Kelly did it again . She did justice to this audio . Her voice is unbelievable. In this thriller she brings you right into the story

OD served best with wine!
In this medical suspense story, Dr. Emma Steele is today's modern woman. She's attempting to balance her career, a spoiled entitled teenager, an ex-husband that has a new family, and more human resources problems than she knows what to deal with in her new promotion. Lastly, she's trying to find a common denominator in the bizarre opioid deaths that plague her ER.
Emma is a workaholic, driven by both pride and guilt. She's paid dearly for her choices, and has no one to turn to. No one to confide in, or bounce idea's off of. Soon she finds herself caught in the sites of the prolific killer and the lies after stumbling across "too many co-incidences" I also adored how Rada Jones pairs her wine with her situations. I totally appreciated the pairing based on the day Emma was having!
Meghan Kelly, creatively executes all the damaged characters in this fascinating medical suspense story. From the regretful ex husband, the back stabbing colleagues, and the unappreciative teenage daughter that knows it all. In wine terms...she selected the right body and paired it very well with all her characters.

This was good!!
Rada Jones MD wrote a good story of intrigue and mystery. The story of Emma Steele, an ER physician who does a little bit of sleuthing outside the ER on her own.
There’s a drug dealer in her ER and she is bound to find out who it is and bring them to justice. In the meantime, there are things happening in her home life, with her daughter, that have her feeling inadequate as a mother.
There are twists and turns you might not expect, and interpersonal relationships that make you go hmmmm. It’s a good book!!!

Thriller!
I usually don’t go for this type of story, but it was wonderful! Especially if you have worked in an ER as I have. Meghan Kelly was the one that brought it to life with her narration. I got chills when she did the character of Spider. What a thriller!

Thrilling
A fast-paced medical thriller, with authentic ER action and crisp dialogue. Dr. Emma Steele, the protagonist, is competent, courageous and insecure, a fascinating and compelling character. The characters are complex and flawed, the plot suspenseful and well tied together in a totally believable way. The narration is colorful and the voices are distinct. This was an excellent audiobook. Looking forward to the sequel.
