About this listen
Marcy Corbin has been hearing stories about Old Scratch ever since she was a little girl. A devil, a demon, and sometimes, he was something even worse who made deals that cost more than you could ever repay.
Now, as an adult, Marcy desperately needs those tales her grandmother filled her head with so many years ago to be true. And she needs Old Scratch’s help more than she could ever imagine.
Driving far into the swamplands of the deep south, Marcy will enter a nightmare of fear and death that will lead her straight to the old cemetery where the ancient devil is waiting for her.
It’s time for Marcy to make a deal of her own.

Rufty nails it... again
This story takes you on quite a trip as you follow Marcy in her journey to visit a local legend, Old Scratch. Some genuinely creepy moments along with some unexpected twists and turns. I absolutely loved it.

Quickly became a favourite
This book had everything I love Southern Gothic horror feel, dark subject matter, and a great use of folklore with a high body count
The narration was excellent. The voice actor was perfectly picked for the story.
Its not often a story manages to be engaging and stay creepy and bloody at the same time. I can’t recommend this enough. 5stars

Graphic Sex Warning
I really thought this book had an interesting premise. Nowhere in the description does it warn you about graphic sex. The first chapter starts with casual sex and by the end of the second chapter it gets graphic in a morgue. I know some people like this, I am not one of them. The narrator was really good. Five stars for her. There should be a warning for books like this though. There might be people who just want a good story without this element.
