I have been a fan of the Hot in the City series from the beginning. Not just friends by T. Gephart did not disappoint.
Leighton (Jared) and Presley have been around each other for years because he is her brother's best friend and co-worker. A stalker ex-boyfriend leads to a night that they can't ignore. That's standard romancelandia, but what I loved is T. Gephart did an amazing job of overlaying Not Just Friends to the previous book, One Click Love.
This story is not a sequel or cliffhanger but a view from a different lens.

Another favorite in this series!
Wow! Did I love this one! The story is adventurous and easily kept me entertained. Best friends sister is a favorite trope of mine. I loved both Leighton and Presley! They are fun, sexy and know what they want. I loved Presley’s work persona! Such a strong female and not afraid to show it. Leighton and Tibbs have such a wonderful relationship that I could see the problem when Stubbs gives the “Hands Off” about Presley.
My absolute favorite secondary is “B”. He runs security at the bar. His straight laced face rivals his sarcastic humor. I loved all the names he came up with for Leighton. His scenes always made me smile. It’s always great to see characters from Books 1 &2. Plus a few new boys at the station
I did listen to this on audio. The narration did a good job. I am kinda hoping there are more in this series.

Jared and Presley
Presley is Jared’s best friend’s sister and should be off limits but he can’t deny their chemistry when she’s around. After hooking up, he realizes it was a mistake and freaks out because of how close he is to her family and doesn’t want the relationship to change. Presley is a firecracker who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to ask for it and she wants Jared. I enjoyed seeing the characters work through their issues and seeing their relationship develop. Presley is a great character, strong and confident and not afraid to go after what she wants. She complimented Jared perfectly.
The narrators were phenomenal. Jacob Morgan is a long time favorite. Vanessa Edwin is absolutely amazing. She gives a different voice to each character. She is extremely talented.

Jacob Morgan again AMAZING!!!
it was a really good book! Jacob Morgan again was truly incredible! and my only regret is I wish somebody would write a romance novel where the female character is not drop dead gorgeous blah blah blah and we have a story about an average person not someone that women have to attain perfection!

Great friends/ brother best friend book
This was my first book by T. Gephart. Presley and Jared have been friends forever since Presley is Jared’s best friends sister. I enjoyed how strong of a women Presley was but we also got to see her softer side. Jared is a hot firefighter but I liked his protective side, in addition to him understanding Presley and giving her what she needs rather than go totally alpha. I enjoyed this book and will check out the others in the series in the future.

I absolutely LOVED the choice in Narrators. Vanessa Edwin and Jacob Morgan were absolutely perfect! I think they compliment the book beautifully. I can’t say how much I love this series in book and audiobook form.

OMG, Immediately hooked!
Presley is one of the firefighter’s (Tibbs) sister and he is extremely overprotective of her but for a good reason.
A scary unstable ex boyfriend on the loose, you don’t know if/when he will pop up.
Leighton who is Tibbs’ best friend for years and also one of the hot firemen has had it bad for Presley. One night they give in and they can’t get enough of each other.
Worst part is... do they go public and if they do, how will her brother react?
This was extremely steamy with the hottest chemistry between these two.
Leighton was an ex-player but has the perfect mixture of sweet, sexy and confident.
Presley is a brilliant successful night club manager that will eat you alive with a smile on her face and you not knowing what hit you.
The two of them together makes for a very intriguing adventure.
Add in the hilarious banter between Leighton and Bennett the security guard, I was busting at the seems.
With this being a hot RomCom it was also suspenseful. I knew the other background story of what was happening because the time coincides events from One Click Love with different points of view but it was intense!!
It wasn’t repeat but a whole different story during the same time. Completely put together perfectly without missing a single detail.
Gah, I loved every nail biting minute of it.
Leighton’s love and understanding of Presley and her needs was amazing. Wow I can’t tell you how much I love them!
Definitely a must read! Can be read as a stand alone but highly recommend reading all three of this series because they are THAT amazing!

Hot In The City Series!
Not Just Friends (Hot in the City, Book 3) is told in dual pov and reflects upon Jared Leighton and Presley Tibbs within the series that interconnects characters with different mc's in each audio. Listening to this one without the others didn't make it difficult to understand. This audio has a mixture of humor, witty banter, a dabble of angst, sensual moments, compelling characters and a happily ever after.
Vanessa Edwin, Jacob Morgan naration was the icing on the cake. I loved the dual pov naration. Always love listening to Jacob Morgan. Vanessa is a excellent narator also with her distinctive character voices. Excellent performance together.

A great series
I’m not sure which book in the series was my favorite because they all were written so well and with such enjoyable characters. While each book can be enjoyed as a standalone they do tie together and you do see the same characters and storylines intertwined between the three.
If you are looking for a fun, lighthearted series I would highly recommend checking this one out.

Such a great series
Loved this book. These two started off as friends and the little sister to his best friend. How things changed real quick one night. They opened a door they tried to close again but realized they couldn’t.
