About this listen
To discover what is true about ourselves, we often have to take a quest and undergo initiations that test us to the core. In this Celtic Heroine’s journey, a young modern-day woman, through a series of mystical events, realizes that she was a Lady of the Lake in a previous life. Believing she is a normal person just like any other, Nina has no idea of the mysteries that await her in Britain. She was, as it turns out, fifth century Nimue, the one responsible for sealing Merlin up in a tree until the hour of his return. Now, she is the only one who can find him, and the world depends on it. Traveling back in time to Ynys Witrin, the Isle of Glass, she discovers more than she ever imagined possible.
Nimue: Freeing Merlin is a stand-alone novel, and also part of the Legends of the Grail series. The books do not need to be listened to in order, but all of the legends and folktales interrelate. The earlier books in the series focus on Celtic Goddesses and Heroines. Like the other books in the series, there are Celtic rituals, mystical practices and visualizations for the avid listener, who wishes to delve more deeply into Celtic and Arthurian mysteries.

Kalin Taylor is on the path to success. He's just won a scholarship to the prestigious Sanderson College of Arts and Science to study medicine. He's also about to do something very, very stupid in the name of becoming one of the 'in' kids at college. It sounded simple at the time. Sneak into a branch of the top-secret, interstellar scientific company GenTech, take a photo of the genetically engineered creature Project Tau that's supposedly inside, and sneak back out again. Cue membership of the college frat house, cue popularity and an improved lifestyle, right?

Story
Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

Story
The greatest contribution of the ancient shamans to modern healing is the understanding that in the course of any life we are liable to suffer soul loss - the loss of parts of our vital energy and identity - and that to be whole and well, we must find the means of soul recovery. Moss teaches that our dreams give us maps we can use to find and bring home our lost or stolen soul parts. He shows how to recover animal spirits and ride the windhorse of spirit to places of healing and adventure in the larger reality.

The yearning to slow down and simplify, return to the earth, and maybe even “rewild” what has been tamed in ourselves persists even though that dream may seem ever more remote in contemporary life. Danielle Dulsky shows that even in our high-tech and high-pressure lives, it is possible to manifest your own “year of the wild” and to tap into often-forgotten holy wisdom. Seasons of Moon and Flame guides you to live cyclically while working with the archetype of the Sacred Hag, or wild grandmother, who appears in various guises.

Nimue: a fantastic self-discovery journey
I’m obsessed with this book! The narrator, Joanna Daniel, did an amazing job. Reading Nimue was an incredible experience for me and I really could relate to Nina and her struggles. The writer really knows how to enrapture the reader on this mystical adventure. It’s rich in folklore legends and I the romance is really sweet. Overall a 5/5 on every front, an absolute must read for those with a passion for Celtic and Roman folklore.

not Not so much a story, but rather an intense delve into mythos
If you are looking for a thrilling tale of love, triumph and magic ... you might be disappointed. After the switch from the first current time chapters in the beginning where the story arc is about the young woman about to find out who she is ... the story switches to Nimue’s transformation into the Mage Sorceress and lover protector of Merlin. You might keep waiting for the 20th century girl to come back into consciousness but she never does. The last 2 thirds of the book delve deeply almost smotheringly into every aspect of the pscho spiritual cosmic metaphor of the Great Goddess and all her realms and heroes and you soon realize that the “story” was written by a PhD. Truth be told ... Ill come back to this story with my yellow pad and other reference books when Im ready to truly understand the many layers of the mysterious worlds of the magical beings - but as “fiction” goes - it was TOO RIDDLED WITH details and I found myself saying - “this is tedious” in too many spots. Great narrator however, author knows her topic - adding to my magick book library however as opposed to my escapist fiction.
