Story
His priceless discovery will make history… if someone doesn’t steal it first. Darwin Lacroix needs to avenge his family’s disgrace. Archaeologists dismissed their claims of Roman treasure buried in the far north, laughing off an ancient scroll found under Mt. Vesuvius. Until now. A recently uncovered diamond cache in Iceland proves the existence of a long-lost fortune. Darwin rushes to Reykjavik, but when a powerful cartel joins the hunt, his quest becomes a race to reveal the mother lode first. With a volcanologist and an unsavory diamond expert on board, Darwin’s search for riches...

Story
I never imagined the drama that would ensue once Dwight stepped into my life. All I wanted to do was to make a name for myself - to claim my little piece of the pie - and buy the neighborhood bar I've been working at for the last few years. Little did I know that I'd be attracting the Wolf Brotherhood into my life.

Story
Four vampires. Four Rock stars. All hers. Raised by my cold, controlling stepmother, I'm finally close to freedom. A few more weeks, and I will have my law degree. But first, I get to see my favorite rock band play. The Timeless Chains band is famous for their sinfully good looks and for the mystery surrounding them. Anyone staying past midnight at their afterparties forgets the night. One stolen kiss from the bassist shows me why. They’re vampires, and I’d just become their new favorite snack. Hart and Blister want me dead. Roan and Golden want me in their beds. They all think I belong...

Story
The Viking Age - from 750 to 1050 saw an unprecedented expansion of the Scandinavian peoples into the wider world. As traders and raiders, explorers and colonists, they ranged from eastern North America to the Asian steppe. But for centuries, the Vikings have been seen through the eyes of others, distorted to suit the tastes of medieval clerics and Elizabethan playwrights, Victorian imperialists, Nazis, and more. None of these appropriations capture the real Vikings, or the richness and sophistication of their culture.

Story
As the daughter of a drug dealer, Wavy knows not to trust people, not even her own parents. It's safer to keep her mouth shut and stay out of sight. Struggling to raise her little brother, Donal, eight-year-old Wavy is the only responsible adult around. Obsessed with the constellations, she finds peace in the starry night sky above the fields behind her house until one night her stargazing causes an accident. After witnessing his motorcycle wreck, she forms an unusual friendship with one of her father's thugs, Kellen, a tattooed ex-con with a heart of gold.

But I hated the reading of this,
The story was compelling, I’m going to go back and see if I can find it read by real people.
A computer simply CANNOT pick up on emotional nuances or the differences between gender or ages…
Pretty awful.
I doubt I will read another that is read this way.
