About this listen
George Pintar’s Navajo Revenge is another gripping Chile Charlie adventure.
Pintar details the beautiful Navajo Nation’s landscape setting and the Navajo cultural conflicts. There is a basic history of how the Navajos are identified and counted for the census. Chile Charlie and his sidekick Dolly Sweet Thompson venture into the mysterious deaths of two Navajo vagrants. The killings occur in “the murder capital” of New Mexico—Gallup. The two bodies are found almost in the exact location, with their throats slashed. Murder is always an uncouth event, but this story is alarming. The crime scene is devoid of any valuable clues. This book is engaging and will keep your attention.

Though it goes against his better judgment, Navajo tribal police lieutenant Joe Leaphorn cannot help but suspect the hand of a supernatural killer.

Story
This is an audiobook of short stories of everyday human emotional experiences. Stories of profound loss, of great friendships, of growing old with a dog, of going to war, and of course, stories of deep romantic love. I hope the stories encourage the listener to do some introspection on what it means to be human. I believe the poems, like all art, will mean more to some than to others.

Bruno is a former soldier who has embraced the pleasures and slow rhythms of country life - living in his restored shepherd's cottage; patronizing the weekly market; sparring with, and basically ignoring, the European Union bureaucrats from Brussels. He has a gun but never wears it; he has the power to arrest but never uses it. But then the murder of an elderly North African who fought in the French army changes everything and galvanizes Bruno's attention.

Story
Have you ever wanted to quit your job, jump in the car with the person you love the most, and see what's around the next bend in the road? I did just that. My wife and I were crazy enough to quit good jobs, pack our suitcases, and head for the open road. We took two months and drove through 30 states, visited more than a dozen national parks, and put 13,000 miles of twisting country roads under our wheels. We found once again that the journey is greater than the destination. There's room in the backseat. We'd love for you to come along with us on our lap around America.
