About this listen
I wrote all these, but where they came from? How did I write them? I don't know.
Almost all my fiction is war fiction. Action adventure, invasions, countries on the brink of disaster, a man, men, and sometimes women, standing against a tide. Blades flashing, blast rifles set on auto. Lawmen, soldiers, and impossible odds. Characters whose minds ride the edges of insanity.
If you need more, look inside. These are my poems.

Story
After the War of the Gods, the demons were cast out and fell to the world. Mankind was nearly eradicated by the seemingly unstoppable beasts until the gods sent the great hero, Ramrowan, to save them. He united the tribes, gave them magic, and drove the demons into the sea. Ever since, the land has belonged to man, and the oceans have remained an uncrossable hell, leaving the continent of Lok isolated.

Story
Among the ashes of a dying world, an agent of the Commandment finds a letter. It reads: Burn before reading. Thus begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents hellbent on securing the best possible future for their warring factions. Now, what began as a taunt, a battlefield boast, becomes something more. Something epic. Something romantic. Something that could change the past and the future. Except the discovery of their bond would mean the death of each of them. There’s still a war going on, after all. And someone has to win. That’s how war works, right?

Story
Ashlock wakes in the courtyard of a demonic sect... as a tree. A tree that eats people. An odd start to a new life. Almost as strange as the humans flying through the skies on flaming swords and challenging the heavens. After all, this is a world where humans could chase the goal of immortality through the art of cultivation. But Ashlock is merely a sapling in a desolate courtyard, left alone with his thoughts and unable to speak to those passing him by. Unless he does something about it.

Story
Stillness as a virtue is a foreign concept in our society, but there is wisdom in God's own rhythm of work and rest. Jesus practiced sabbath among those who had turned it into a dismal thing, a day for murmuring and finger-wagging, and he reminded them of the day's true purpose: liberation - to heal, to feed, to rescue, to celebrate, to lavish and relish life abundant. With this audiobook, Buchanan reminds us of this and gives practical advice for restoring the sabbath in our lives.

Story
My Glorious Brothers is the epic story of perhaps the most breathtaking chapter in the history of Israel, a stirring tale of courage for those who like to find meaning for today's world in the great events of history. After witnessing a ransacked and desecrated Jerusalem, Simon and his four brothers - soon to be known and revered as the Maccabees - rise to lead an earthshaking rebellion. Their tale has almost no parallel in human history.

The meeting will be historic: 60 years ago, the Order's enemies attacked them with a host of demons, forcing the Order to trap the monsters inside their own citadel and seal it shut with impenetrable wards. The demon, known only as "Jakerbok", is a major force of evil then and now. He taunts the listener to "Burn this audiobook" throughout this satanically autobiographical monologue, for he has embedded his very self inside each word....as a long-dormant vehicle for the dark forces to finally conquer all things good and holy in this world.

a view into his psyche
I've known Geoff for years, and this is an unabashed look into his mind. as far as I'm aware this is his first foray into poetry. they are high energy and fast-paced, but he does a great job articulating, and keeping the reader engaged.
I found the recording to be of high quality and an exceptional job done by the writer.

Great poems, audio is a little fast
I really enjoy the author's poetry, but the audio was a little fast for me to keep up with. Being the first audio project from this author I hope it's just a learning curve. An engaging, short collection of poetry perfect for my commute!

Glad Geoff stepped out and put these up for people to hear. My favorite was the father that told the son to smell the flower, and then saw a vision of the past. Keep at it Geoff.
