About this listen
In My Story, Kam Ng shares his journey from childhood to a successful CEO by virtue of tireless and endless learning. He recounts his early years suffering from stuttering and regaining his confidence to overcome the difficulty. Through his hard work and self-determination, he completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering as well as business management without spending much money for his education. He made great contributions to the United States Navy in science and technology, especially in acoustics and noise control engineering. In My Story, he compiles a list of his publications, presentations, and patents in acoustics and noise control engineering. In his later years, he gave back what he learned to the community in teaching and initiating the efforts in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). He pioneered STEAM, STEM combining with arts, effort in Southern Louisiana for the minorities and girls. Kam also shares his experience in college level teaching. He recounts his years in part-time teaching at the community college and graduate level teaching at a private university. Kam spent two years teaching full-time for a for-profit university. He describes the unique challenges and issues in a fast-paced career college. Kam is a lifelong learner. He learned with the students while teaching. Kam enjoys science and technology so much that he continues writing eBooks after his retirement in science and technology and travel experiences. In My Story, Kam compiles a list of eBooks that he self-published in Kindle Edition and provides the URLs to readers.
