About this listen

Saturday morning seemed like any other Saturday. I had many projects going but wanted to finish the flower and vegetables beds. I was happily digging away when I suddenly found myself falling through some kind of hole. It ended up being some kind of cave. I looked up and saw a shimmering film over the hole I fell through. What the heck! The light was enough to look around and see if I could find something to use to climb out. I spied an oval object and went over to investigate. It turned out that it was a huge egg. I’d say 12 to 18 inches tall and about the same around. It was almost round. I decided to take it out of the cave with me. But first I had to dig around and pile up the dirt and rocks to make a hill high enough to get out. In my home I didn’t even think about the egg warming up as I didn’t think there was anything alive in it. In the middle of the night, I heard a cracking sound and thought someone was breaking one of my windows. Flashlight in hand I snuck to the kitchen and surprise the egg was hatching. A small lavender sharp, taloned, paw reached up and onto the edge of the shell. Next a small reptile head popped up and I went over for a closer look. It looked into my eyes and I was hooked, only I didn’t know it at the time. We had bonded right then and there. There was no way I could call this in to the archeology department at the college. Now what? Action & Adventure
