About this listen

An art gallery cafe, a dream, and...murder.

Lola has been working in the Gallery Cafe for her Uncle Iggy for a long time. She loves working in this business and dreams that she will one day be able to take it over from her uncle. The small town of Fawnwood is the perfect location for this quaint bit of art and coffee.

Lola loves working for her uncle. She made arrangements with him to allow her best friend, Polly, to display some of her own artwork. When Uncle Iggy turns up dead, it turns the town upside down. Everyone loved Uncle Iggy, or so they say. Lola didn’t want to take over the business like this, but this murder meant that someone was trying to take over the gallery.

Investigating with Polly and with the help of Tetley, her pet rabbit, Lola uncovers old secrets, and unexpected suspects, which could put all their lives in danger.

One of my favorite places to visit is Mitford. Who hasn’t heard of Mayberry? The characters in this story may, not be as next door as these iconic towns. While this who done brings in a younger main cast we do meet several town folks. It’s a nice little story if you like small town mysteries, family business and quaint shops. Think old time Nancy Drew stuff. For me, the narration played a big role in keeping this story moving forward. The actress did a nice job giving each character a voice keeping this listener well entertained. If you're looking for a true crime this is not it. But meeting a fun fluffy rabbit pet? Listen now.

I do enjoy going to small towns
