About this listen
When Mrs. Hudson's young nephew, Ralph, decides to go to Paris and become an artist, his mother is distraught. She enlists Mrs. Hudson's assistance to try and persuade him to quit the fleshpots of that most debauched city and return home.
In Paris, the sisters soon find themselves caught up in the whirling fin-de-siècle world of bohemians and anarchists, the world of Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge. They encounter the likes of Toulouse-Lautrec, along with the fabled can-can dancer La Goulue and her partner Valentin the Boneless, among many other colorful characters. But then the discovery of the mutilated body of a beautiful young artists’ model in the sinister catacombs of the city puts Ralph under suspicion of her murder…
Mrs Hudson’s search for the true perpetrator stretches her deductive powers to the limit, and puts her own life in desperate peril.
Another thrilling adventure for Sherlock Holmes’ landlady.

Mrs Hudson
This was good. I enjoyed the story of Sherlock Holmes landlady having her own life. Narration by Michael Langen was also good. I was given this book free for an honest review.

Mrs Hudson’s excellent adventures
Mrs Hudson and her sister Nelly travel to Paris to retrieve her wayward nephew Ralph, who is playing at being an artist. A gruesome murder is committed and Ralph becomes a suspect. It’s good to know that Mrs Hudson learned a thing or two from Holmes. The story is very good with all the ambience and detail of late 19th century Paris. There is a mix of real and fictional characters and places and there are twists and turns in the plot. The narration by Michael Langan is outstanding, since his performance brings the characters, city and story to life. I really enjoy the Mrs Hudson series by Susan Knight.
