Do your research Author

I'll start with the bad. The rank of Colonel is not in the US Navy. The equivalent rank is Captain in the Navy. This error could have been easily avoided in 10 seconds on Google.

Secondly, the location of the Homestead...coastal South Carolina...not likely, but this is fiction.

Last, a single woman traveling by horse and foot from West to East Coast in a Post-Apocalyptic world...doubtful.

Other than that, it was a good story...considering it's part of a lengthy series.
