About this listen

The life of a graverobber has its up and downs, and over the years Mel Maay has led a comfortable life. Not needing much in the ways of comfort. Just a roof over his head and food on the table. Like everyone, years on the job take a toll on one’s body and Mel was no different. So, the need to change the ways on how he robs graves. Instead of digging, he began to break into mausoleums where he could rob at his leisure. Using the cover of a cold wintery night, Mel knew that he could take his time breaking into a mausoleum in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The possibility of a huge hall sits before him in hundreds of sealed tombs. He knew fresh bodies would offer little in the ways of wealth. What he needed were old ones. Ones in the time when people were buried in their very best. When the dead were sealed up with the valuables thinking that their wealth would help them when they passed over. Mel starts his search looking for the oldest tombs not knowing that he shouldn’t go down to the lower floor. But he didn’t come here for pocket change. He wanted gold and to get that he had to look for the oldest bodies and the chance for more wealth. Unluckily for him he finds the oldest tombs in the building. Coffins that he shouldn’t touch. But this was his job and nothing was going to detour him from pulling off a good haul. That was till he finds a lone ornate coffin inscribed with the word, Mother. He should have stopped with the pocket change and few gold teeth he had so far found. But this coffin was tempting, and he couldn’t resist the chance to see what it could hold. Horror
