Auf den Ästen einer als heilig bezeichneten Eiche wird der 43 jährige Schamane und Heiler Jakob Stern tot aufgefunden. Die Person ausfindig zu machen, die Stern umgebracht und dort festgebunden hat, stellt sich als äußerst schwierig heraus, und Baumeister fürchtet fast, diesen Fall ungelöst mit in Rente nehmen zu müssen. An Zeug*innen mangelt es allerdings nicht. Vernehmen Baumeister und sein Team doch allerhand Engels- und Geisterbeschwörer*innen. Wurde Stern wirklich von einer übernatürlichen Kraft aus dem Leben gerissen? Oder liegt die Lösung vielleicht doch näher?
