About this listen

College students, human and nonhuman, raised together on the same planet, search for the origins of civilization in the galaxy - and find old magic and a vast, implacable conspiracy. Can they forge bonds of friendship and understanding among themselves strong enough to stand against greed, lust for power, and absolute domination of a hundred planets? If not, then why does the enemy fear them?

the Kren voices were silly sounding and it detracted from the seriousness of the plot

great story, exaggerated narration

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I have several hundred audio books. I have listened to many varied narrators, but have never heard anything as horrific as this. The story was OK, when we could actually focus on the story and not the crazy vocal dialects. Wow!

Good god! The narrator must be special needs.
