About this listen
Your Complete Guide
Proven steps and strategies on minimalist living. Why do you need to be minimalist? Do you feel like your cluttered home makes you more stressed than comfortable? Do you think that you don't have time to dedicate yourself to things that are important to you? Does it seem like things and unnecessary distractions are running your life instead of you?I've had the exact same issues like you and I can assure you, becoming a minimalist is an excellent way of regaining control over your life. The great news is that there is no strict rule or a line of becoming a minimalist.
Minimalism is a philosophy of focusing on only the essential things. A minimalistic approach means that you are not cluttering your life with unnecessary things and that you have simplified it as much as possible. Each person is free to decide their own limits in adopting minimalism. One thing is certain — becoming a minimalist will make you feel better, happier and healthier in no time!
I've been living as a minimalist for years now and it feels great. That is why I've decided to share my experience and offer valuable insights and tips on how to adopt a minimalistic approach to life.
The audiobook is anything but theory. I tried to focus on practical tips and benefits of minimalizing your life in different areas. We will cover various issues, such as:
- How to declutter your home and get rid of all unneeded things easily
- How to get rid of all extra clothes and how to shop for new ones like a minimalist
- How to travel and move around to maximize enjoyment of every moment of life
- How to use the technology the help you become a minimalist and unclutter your digital environment
And much more!

At age 30, best friends Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus walked away from their six-figure corporate careers, jettisoned most of their material possessions, and started focusing on what's truly important.

Fumio Sasaki is not an enlightened minimalism expert or organizing guru like Marie Kondo - he's just a regular guy who was stressed out and constantly comparing himself to others, until one day he decided to change his life by saying goodbye to everything he didn't absolutely need. The effects were remarkable: Sasaki gained true freedom, new focus, and a real sense of gratitude for everything around him.

Story
Most of us know we own too much stuff. We feel the weight and burden of our clutter, and we tire of cleaning and managing and organizing. While excess consumption leads to bigger houses, faster cars, fancier technology, and cluttered homes, it never brings happiness. Rather, it results in a desire for more. It redirects our greatest passions to things that can never fulfill, and it distracts us from the very lives we wish we were living. But it doesn't have to be this way.

Story
Study after study finds there is one trait that sets the most successful people apart from the rest of us. That one trait isn’t wearing the same shirt everyday or some secret workout formula. The one trait that successful people have is that they know how to form good habits that stick. If you have ever struggled to keep a New Year’s resolution or if you have a hard time meeting your goals, you need this book. This book will teach you how to form good habits, how to make them stick, and what habits you should be forming. The power of habit stacking is that by slowly introducing small habits into your life you start to build synergies. You will begin to be getting more out of each habit every time you stack another, small good habit on top of it. It will seem like magic, but habit stacking is based on science.

Direct and to the point
Full of great advice & practical ideas. Logical explanations of the benefits. A no-shame approach. I did not enjoy the author’s voice. It was flat and approaching monotone. I would however still recommend this book.

Don’t bother
Why am I getting sexist remarks and told not to take medication or what I should eat in a minimalist book? “I know some women wouldn’t agree with me” when referring to having less clothes. What does being a woman have to do with it? I didn’t even both finishing the book after that and now I’m mad I wasted a money on this book. “Negative emotions are bad” really? Very dumbed down book and you can get the only useful information they provide from a blogger for free.
