I didn't care for this. It was a chaotic listen that was hard to follow. I didn't care for the narrator. I tried to like it, but couldn't.

the fourth book of this series was not much better than the first one.
the chain of events is still not very clear, and the characters were difficult for me to relate with.
again, the choice of narrator is strange to me - it was very hard to follow on the change of characters' POV.

Book 4 in Meng's Mum's the Word Series. A great addition as we get to know more of the characters in this messed up family dynamic. This is Kalonie's story and from the beginning you are gripped by the lack of respect for self and others - but so much character growth for all the characters in play. I loved seeing the rise, fall and rise again (such a perfect way to describe real life - with ups and downs). Forgiveness not deserved but granted non the less. Her strength at the highest and lowest points is so well displayed. A well written, quick listen that is well narrated. While this is a short listen is packs a big punch! Great storyline and characters make this a great listen and has me eager for more in this series!
