Read this book First!
This book should be mandatory reading for anyone new to the program. Finally made it clear to me and I know what I’m going to do. Didn’t take long as it’s a short concise book. Thank you Doug ! And for your quick answer to my follow up question.
Chris

Fabulously informative!
This is a very efficient description of the 2019 Medicare system's structure. Couple that with simple outline and plan of action the author suggests and you have a very easy decision to make about your Medicare coverage! I appreciated the concise and practical and no hidden motivations delivery and found it was very easy to understand. Thank you D. B. Jones! Will there be a 2020 Audible version coming out soon?

Excellent guide to Medicare Plans
Even though I already have (and read) the printed version of this audio book, when I saw it was in audio format I was curious about it. I am pleased to say this audio book is superb is several ways. First, the author spoke in a very comfortable manner which made it easy to comprehend. Second, although many may not find insurance a very interesting topic, the author does well bringing the subject to a level that us common folk can understand. And third, the chapters describing Medicare parts and plans, plan F vs. High Deductible Plan F and Medicare Advantage was actually easier to understand in spoken format compared to reading it. The cost comparisons are excellent as well.
While I think this audio book is a good supplement to the printed version; for those who do not like reading, this audio book will explain the mysteries of choosing a Medicare supplement.
In full disclosure, I am of Medicare age and my Medicare supplement is a High Deductible Plan F along with a good prescription drug plan. I feel it is important to stay educated about Medicare changes so I can make sure I am enrolled in the best plan each year. This audio book is a great help in doing so.

lazy man took a narrow point-of-view
what this book does is step you through the process to apply for various Medicare parts and when. His advice is "never choose Medicare Advantage Plan" ( at least he explains why not) and "always choose one or the other of the 2 Plan H medigaps". He never explains why he thinks Medigap G is a problem or even describes the difference between H and G. All other Plans are also ignored. Lazy indeed! Save your money!
