About this listen

At 18, Maquesta Kar-Thon has just volunteered to captain the Perechon for a quest with a high stake - her father's life.

The minotaur lord Attat has given her father a slow-acting poison, and is withholding the antidote until Maq captures the deadly sea monster Morkoth for his private zoo. To accompany her on this voyage, Attat sends along the renegade minotaur Bas Ohn-Koraf and a shadowperson warrior, Ilyatha.

As the Perechon races to complete its quest, it is beset by pirates, attacked by Blood Sea imps, and tangles with kuo-toa. Maq must not only fight these enemies but prove herself to the Perechon crew.

Through it all, the image of her dying father bears down on her.

The Warriors series details the exploits of the heroes and villains of the War of the Lance.

One of my favorite Dragonlance novels! I look forward to the upcoming trilogy in 2022!

Breathtaking novel! I read it many years ago

Fun pirate adventure that works well on its own, but really adds great flavor to a tertiary character in the wonderful world of Dragonlance

A hidden gem of a book!

What about Dina Pearlman’s performance did you like?

Dina's performance was pretty good. The character voices were somewhat unique - and you could recognize most by the voices she used.

Any additional comments?

Overall this story was your typical D&D type story. Mission to accomplish and you run into one over powered enemy after another every couple chapters that the main characters manager to over come with some luck.It was interesting enough if you're not tired of the standard formula. It did it's purpose of covering the story of a character that showed up for a short time in the core dragonlance books. There are a few references to the gathering of armies and the like that will show up in Dragons of Fall/winter/spring but the characters never really seem to care or understand. It almost felt like a second book may have been planned.

Not bad for Dragonlance

No not good. And the narrator was too annoying to put myself through the whole book.
