About this listen
Finally, Rhiannen is old enough to befriend a newly hatched dragonet. Her future path in dragon racing spans bright and exciting before her.
But life has a knack for not going as planned. A hawk attacks her family farm and carries Rhiannen far from the haven. Instead of preparing for dragon riding, she has to find a way to survive a vast wilderness full of predators that see her as bite-sized and tasty.
When she finds a dragon nest, she's given the hope of befriending a wild dragonet to train and return home with. But the answer is hardly that simple as mischievous fate twists her plans again and again....

Story
Thirteen-year-old Aluna has lived her entire life under the ocean, just like all of the Coral Kampii in the City of Shifting Tides. But after remaining hidden from the Above World for centuries, her colony is in trouble, its survival in doubt : the tech that allows the Kampii to breathe underwater is beginning to fail, and many Kampii have already died. Yet the colony’s elders, including Aluna’s father, are unwilling to venture to the dry and dangerous Above World to search for answers. So it’s up to Aluna and her friend Hoku to face the terrors of land to find a solution.

Story
With my clan threatened, I don’t have time for romance with a pesky Earth female. Until I meet Piper. She and her youngling son are part of our planet’s new settlement. Soon, I find myself helping her plan her home and talking about odd Earthling activities. What is a square dance, and must I do it? She’s soft and lush in all the right places, and I could pick her up and carry her around with one arm. And her son…I ache to show him how to tame a mighty winged trundier. Piper may say she doesn’t need love, but I'll do whatever it takes to win her heart.

Dragonrider Academy is a secret society I’m not even supposed to know exists. It has knights with talking swords, professors who breathe fire, and a hot guy named Killian who seriously gets on my nerves. It’s his fault I’m stuck here in the first place. He wants me to be his partner and face all the challenges Dragonrider Academy has to offer. He says we’re fated to be together, that I was the one who called him! Crazy talk. Or is it?

As a child, I was stolen by the lord of my planet’s invaders. He brought me to the chamber, where he held others he’d also taken. Through the years, me and my new brothers were twisted into beasts, each with a unique ability that shouldn’t exist outside of myth. We’re monsters. Any female who gazes upon us will run. Now, we’ve been entered into the Galaxy Games. It’s my chance to break free. But I’m paired with an Earth female who makes me see color for the first time, proving she’s my fated mate. I’ll finish this Game. I’ll free my brothers. And I’ll claim her.

The revolution has been postponed
Those who have read book one should know that the revolution has been postponed.
This book is about a young woman who dreams of being a dragon rider. A good chunk of the book is about her surviving in the wilderness. So those who like survival adventure stories should check it out.
This installment almost feels like a stand alone except that the events of book one are referenced and community opinions of mages are divided. Book three should be good.
On the performance: I am now a fan of this narrator. Her voice work for characters is distinct enough that I recognized who was speaking by the voice. And her diction was such that I very had to guess what she was saying. I also felt as though she honestly enjoyed the story she was reading.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
