About this listen
Sex. Murder. Shoes. A shockingly original and darkly decadent thriller.
By day Judith Rashleigh is a put-upon assistant at a London auction house. By night she's a hostess in one of the capital's unsavoury bars. Desperate to make something of herself, Judith knows she has to play the game. She's learned to dress, speak and act in the interests of men. She's trying to be a good girl.
But after uncovering a dark secret at the heart of the art world, Judith is fired, and her dreams of a better life are torn apart. So she turns to a long-neglected friend. A friend who kept her chin up and back straight through every past slight. A friend a good girl like her shouldn't have.

passabile
descritto molto bene, nei minimi particolari, forse anche troppo. Mi aspettavo un thriller ma............
Lettura magnifica , rilassante e viva allo stesso tempo.

Addictive
Adored it! Fresh, exciting with a thousand twists and turns. I couldn't put it down. Filled with all the winning recipes from rags to riches intertwined with hot but normal sex, some dark comedy set in places I can only dream of...May this writer fill our hungry libraries with loads more!

Didn't need to be so crude
At times I felt as though the plot was going somewhere but was disappointed time and again. It would pique my interest and then fall flat over and over. The sex scenes were far too crude; they really didn't need to be so graphic to build sexual tension or arouse the senses, which perhaps is not what L.S. Hilton was going for. Maybe she wanted her lead femme fatal to seem crude and vulgar as a way to address the issues from her past. I found myself towards the end skipping through the sex scenes as it was just another vulgar explanation of the main character's vagina. Oh and don't get me started on the use of the 'c' word!!! It made me cringe after hearing it for the thousandth time!
If you are obsessed with designer goods, love a vulgar sex scene on repeat and little substance to the plot, then this is the book for you!
