About this listen

Hannah

Maddox Lovelace. The captivating football player I met in college.

The one I only knew for a week. A week that was...life-changing. Until my phone rang, and I had no choice but to go home.

I left Maddox a letter, putting my feelings on paper, giving him my number, hoping he'd call. But he didn't call.

He never called. He got drafted into the professional league and lived like a king while I stayed home and struggled to stay afloat. I may have followed his career, but now that he's retired from football, I've forced myself to stop thinking about him. And it's okay that I won't ever see him again. That week in college was fifteen years ago. I'm not in love with Maddox anymore. I might even hate him.

Maddox

Hannah Utley. The name that's haunted me since my senior year of college. The girl who caught my attention with her wide eyes and freckled nose. Who spent one week twisting up my insides until she stole a piece of my heart the night we got locked inside the campus library.

The girl who disappeared without a word.

It's the name of the girl I've been trying to forget for fifteen years. And it's the name looking up at me from the resume in my hand.

Because Hannah Utley works for the company I just purchased.

And that makes her mine. Whether she likes it or not.

Love this book and series

The title is based on the signature of a letter. Maddox is a college Football star and Hannah, stressed in the story, is a plus sized woman. They spend a week together and fall in love.

Hannah has to leave college and they meet again 15 years later rekindling their love for each other.

S.J. Tilly does a good job of portraying a strong plus sized MFL without over doing it. I loved that they got their second chance romance and were mature enough to not let it go. Maddox didn't have as much character growth as I expected or hoped.

Andi Arndt delivered a spit on performance of Hannah. Timing just right, portraying Hannah's emotions was well done and not over the top.

Jacob Morgan delivered Maddox's character SO well. I could just see this big football dude who was self assured enough to not fall for the industry's standards of who he wanted. I was a bit disappointed that it waited until Maddox's retirement though and he still dated model types while playing football. This felt a bit disingenuous.

Overall a great listen, well told and I recommend.

Man o Man am I fan

Someone, anyone, everyone maybe has a person in their past who they connect with and for whatever reason fate/crazy/lazy/insanity gets in the way of a good thing. The road of all that traveled sometime intersects and wow it knocks the world back into focus. That's the plot of this book, two people who had amazing chemistry and one small interaction blows them off course until one day the course correction happens and the magic is finally made. I was new to this author, I was a victim of booktok, yes, that explains everything! Just kidding, I am a voracious reader! It's been a while since I have been in a book store and while my bank account rejoices at that; booktok has inspired my curiosity to other authors and I am here for it. Highly recommend this series. You don't necessarily need to read them in order but in hindsight I am glad I did.

amazing story

amazing story and plot, I love the characters and the love, the actors who voiced the characters are amazing, Jacob Morgan is awesome, he voiced Maddox, the book/ audiobook is a chef's kiss, I wud definitely recommended if u like books about love, people who run into each other 15 years later and pretty much start where they left off, books with hot sex scenes and lust and love that people dream of
