About this listen
The point is: they saved her life. So when one of the bloodsuckers asks for a favour, she obliges - and soon Sookie's in Dallas, using her telepathic skills to search for a missing vampire. She's supposed to interview certain humans involved, but she makes one condition: the vampires must promise to behave and let the humans go unharmed. But that's easier said than done, and all it takes is one delicious blonde and one small mistake for things to turn deadly....
The Sookie Stackhouse stories are delightful Southern Gothic supernatural mysteries, starring Sookie, the telepathic cocktail waitress, and a cast of increasingly colourful characters, including vampires, werewolves, and things that really do go bump in the night.

Fangtastic!!!
The novels are always so hilarious. I find myself laughing out loud so many times (the HBO series is darker and more thrilling). Charlaine Harris and the narrator Johanna Parker make a dynamic duo that will keep you listening and wanting more.

The narrator is Sookie personified
Disclaimer: *Minor spoiler alert*
Having watched True Blood (a number of times), the narrator brings Sookie's character to life wonderfully. Quite bummed at the Lafayette turn of events and also how Tara plays into things. Also, a few what heck Godfrey moments and thought that him being Erik's maker was quite special in the series but nevertheless, I'm THOROUGHLY enjoying the roller coaster of events and feel like I'm re-living True Blood in an alternate universe.
Yes. the books came first, I know, but in my world it's the other way around!
Sincerely,
Hook, Line and sinkered
