Real Insight!!!

What did you love best about Life with My Sister Madonna?

Learning how Madonna thinks. Finding out that much of what she wants you (the public) is a fraud. This is more than something coming from her brother. This is coming from a brother that she trusted in and confided in and really lets the facts be known.

Real emotions

I liked the book and felt it was easy to follow. Listening to her brother's presentation it felt quite real and emotional. The perfect length.

Very Enttertaining

I loved this audiobook. It was filled with all kinds of fun facts about Madonna and was an interesting perspective. The narration is a little boring and monotone, but the stories keep you going.

From one point of view

I enjoyed the boom to hear the different perspective. I wish Christopher wasn’t upset when writing this as I’m sure
It caused family strain. Interesting info to just sit with and pondering whats the truth. I believe we all have our own perspectives and feelings and that’s what you get. The added bonus additional info on their childhood.

Interesting and good narration

I found this to be a touching story about siblings.
I hadn't realized how much he worked with her for years.

Great Book

This was a really good book. I don't know why there was so much criticism about this book...as if he stabbed Madonna in the back. I don't think he did at all. I think he was fair but it's not like he revealed a bunch of "deep dark secrets". It was well told and quite honest. And, as is the case with ALL the varieties of biographies, it was definitely made better by the fact that HE narrates!

Finally Free

I was not quiet sure what I was going to learn about a woman, an icon who shaped most of my youth. no one like to meet their heroes in person for fear they may fall short of the pedestal you have made for them. Hearing her brothers pov put things in a more real setting and really Cleary showed the reader just how human she really is and how dysfunctional they really are/were. I guess they really are just people after all.

Madonna fans will enjoy this

This book is great. Any Madonna fan will enjoy hearing the inside scoop from her brother. At times, he’d tell stories where he hopes to garner sympathy from the reader/listener but anyone with a brain can see Madonna was protecting him from himself. If you give large sums of money to a drug addict, what do you think they’ll do with it!? Snort it up their nose and kill themselves. Her ‘stingy’ behavior saved his life and it’s clear he doesn’t see that. I think one day he might though. He seems like he’s still growing and he put a fantastic story together in the meantime.
Madonna shouldn’t have felt betrayed when the book came out. Her haters aren’t going to waste time reading about her and her fans will gobble it up and love her even more. To achieve the kind of greatness she has, takes a lot of chutzpah, attitude and tenacity. After listening to this, I started channeling Madonna at work. Simply asking myself “What would Madonna do”? In certain situations has help me make decisions and channel her confidence to get ahead and achieve professional success. A side effect to this book I suppose. You’ll feel like you have a deeper insight into her personality and what it took for her to achieve success. Use it. Use her as a guide to take the bull by the horns and take what you want in this life. Until she writes her own memoir, this is the next best thing.
I only deducted one star for performance due to the fact I had to listen to it on 0.75 speed. Christopher talks pretty fast at times and runs his words together. At a lower speed, I didn’t miss a single word. Of course, at this lower speed, it’s sounds like you’re listening to her drunk brother tell a story or Ferris Buellers teacher take attendance. It’s the only way to go if you have trouble with his speed or enunciation like I did.
I thoroughly enjoyed Christopher Ciccone’s book and happy he decided to share the inside scoop with the world.

Excellent Insight Into Madonna's Psychy

Christopher Ciccone should consider becoming a voice-over artist. His voice is soothing and even. He provided insight into a pop culture icon, without being smug or cold. He didn't sugarcoat his faults and took responsibility for his role in life. Excellent book for any fan.

A close family prospective

I really enjoyed listening to this book. Especially because Christopher read it himself. I've been a Madonna maniac my whole life so this was a real treat for me. Hearing a prospective from her closest family member was really great. She would have to be a narcissist LEO to be so great. I feel for her brother though because she really is a bitch lol. But I knew that from watching her in Truth or Dare. I still love her music and beauty but man she really can be a real A- hole.
