• All people over 40 are getting mandatory surgery that makes them see in black and white.
  
• William knows its much worse than simply color blindness.

This is a world, William soon discovers, where getting social security has become a reality show fight to the death. Prostitutes are "safe sex" androids. Drones control everything. Companies are serving a new master.
