About this listen
The subject of the book of Ephesians is the church. There are seven aspects of the church revealed in Ephesians. The church is the Body, the new man, the kingdom, the family, the dwelling place, the bride, and the warrior. If we put together all these seven aspects of the church, we see a wonderful picture of the church as the Body to express Christ, as the new man taking Christ as the person, as the kingdom with rights and responsibilities, as the family with life and enjoyment, as God’s dwelling place for God to live in, as the bride for Christ’s satisfaction, and as the warrior for fighting the battle and defeating the enemy so that God can accomplish his eternal purpose. This is the church.
The Life-Study of Ephesians also gives a clear view of the contents of the book of Ephesians. In chapter one of Ephesians we have the blessings: God’s selection, predestination, sonship, holiness, redemption, sealing, pledging, and much more. Then we shall see the prayer of the Apostle for a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know the hope of God’s calling, to see the glory of God’s inheritance among his saints, and to realize the greatness of the power that has been wrought in Christ to produce the Body. Then in Chapter Two, we see the production of the church, the nature of the church, the vision of the church, the building of the church, and the function of the church.
In Chapter Three, we see the revelation of the mystery and the ministry of the stewardship concerning the church. Following this, we see Paul’s prayer for the strengthening of our inner man, so that Christ may make his home in our heart, that we might be filled with all the fullness of God. This causes us to have the practical experience of Christ. Then, as revealed in the last three chapters, we shall know how to walk on earth, to bear responsibility, and to fight the battle for God’s purpose. This is the content of the book of Ephesians.

In this audiobook, Witness Lee opens up Paul’s second Epistle to the Corinthians, a book on the new covenant ministry and its ministers. The first Epistle to the Corinthians was the apostle’s argument, an argument that defeated and subdued the distracted and confused Corinthians. Now, the second Epistle brought them back into the experience of Christ, who was the subject of his argument in the first Epistle.

Story
In Life-Study of 1 & 2 Samuel, Witness Lee opens up the central thought of these two books, which is that the fulfillment of God's economy needs man's cooperation in the principle of incarnation, as illustrated by the history of Samuel's mother, Hannah, of Samuel, and of David, in the positive sense, and by the history of Eli and of Saul, in the negative sense. Such a cooperation is related to the personal enjoyment of the good land, which typifies the all-inclusive and all-extensive Christ.

Story
In the book Being Renewed Day by Day, Witness Lee speaks of the renewing process that we need to pass through in our Christian life for God’s purpose. All the sufferings God has assigned to us have one unique purpose - to renew us. Regardless of whether we are good or bad, we are the old creation, but God desires to work out something new from his old creation. In order to consummate his renewing work in us and with us, God becomes our life and nature within and uses the environment in order to work His life and nature into us.

This is a complete presentation on the workings of the human spirit and soul and body. The book aims at delivering people from the tyranny of self-life with its carnality and from the domination of the passions and lusts of the flesh. It attempts to lead them to the full salvation of Christ. It is not to be taken as a manual but as a guide to true spirituality. It is recommended that this three-volume work be listened to quickly once.

Authority is a tremendous thing in the universe, nothing overshadows it. God's throne is established on His authority. God's authority represents God Himself. God alone is authority in all things; all the authorities of the earth are instituted by God. It is therefore important for us who desire to serve God to know the authority of God.

The Song of Solomon is one of the finest love poems ever written. Over the centuries its beautiful language and sublime imagery have enchanted readers. But why is this tender love poem included in the Scripture? How should we interpret it? This is a real mystery to many of us, but Watchman Nee believes it is possible to discover within the poem all the principles needed to develop the spiritual life. In this devotional commentary, he explores the love relationship between the individual believer and the Lord.

Story
Anyone who serves God will discover sooner or later that the great hindrances he has in the Lord's work is not others but himself. He will discover that his outward man (soul) is not in harmony with his inward man (spirit). Both tend to go toward two opposite directions from each other. He will also sense the inability of his outward man to submit to the inner control of his regenerated spirit. His greatest difficulty lies in his outward man, which hinders him from using his spirit.

What is prayer? Are we really praying when we pray? Do we know the power of prayer? These matters and others must be understood if we would have a real prayer life and be effective in prayer. In this little volume of collected messages given over a long period of ministry by the author, and which are now translated and published in English for the first time, Watchman Nee shares with us the lessons on prayer that he has learned through the years.

What is the missing link to a glorious church? Can it be the lack of "full knowledge and all perception that ye may prove [or, distinguish] the things that differ" (literal translation)? Certainly spiritual discernment is the pressing need of today. How can we obtain this full knowledge of God? Where do we get spiritual discernment that we may know the things which differ or are more excellent? These are the matters which brother Watchman Nee tried to address during his latter years of ministry.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). So mourned the prophet Hosea. The glory of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that "all shall know [God], from the least to the greatest of them" (Heb. 8:11). Spiritual knowledge is open to all God's children today. It is therefore not only our duty but also our privilege to seek this knowledge. In the present volume, brother Watchman Nee attempts to help us to develop this spiritual knowledge.

Story
The life that God gives and you receive at the time you believe in his son Jesus Christ is such a life. It is a life that overcomes sin, provides intimate communion with God, and is full of satisfaction and power. It is already in you, waiting to be explored by you. The secret toward experiencing its power is to let go of yourself and let Christ live instead of you. This requires a childlike faith. Then shall you more than conquer through him who loves you.

What does God intend to reveal to us in Ephesians?
Perhaps it is fair to say that across the mysterious 66 books of the Bible, none is more deep in revelation than Ephesians. No matter how many times I read it, I'm always left with the sense that I've barely touched the surface of the burden God intends to organically reveal within His people.
Our brother Witness Lee, as seems to be manifestedly true throughout his ministry, was heavily burdened by the Lord to not only see more of those depths, not only to experience more of those depths, but to faithfully encourage the rest of the Body to do the same. This exhaustive outpouring of many layers of heavenly revelation within Ephesians includes both a detailed sequential progression through the entirety of the text, as well as a profound exploration of the key themes our beloved Head revealed to our brother and was burdened to share with us. Witness Lee's consistent burden is less on historical context, doctrinal confirmations, or church practices, but rather nearly completely focused on receiving a spirit of wisdom and revelation, to truly be enlightened to see the economy of the mystery of this revelation, to be actively strengthened into the inner man, that Christ may make His home in our hearts through faith. This unwavering focus helps us see all these precious truths not as merely resulting in personal edification, but much rather to more deeply reveal within us the clear heavenly focus of God to produce the church corporately as His full expression, His masterpeice, His House, His Body, the New Man, the Bride, and the Warrior. We can at least to some degree see not just the theoretical oneness we have in Christ with each other, but the actual accomplished reality of who we really are to each other. This deep and clear revelation then allows us to better understand Who is actually the functioning Life within His Body, the coordinated and organic nature of every members's functioning, and the single goal and focus of any true ministry from God.
After listening through this Life Study of Ephesians, I once again am left with a sense of the unplumbed depths yet to be revealed. However there is also a sense that the Lord has used this brother's ministry to bring me deeper into His heart's desire, to clarify further the vision of His goal, to illuminate more of His mysterious way, and to practically build me me more fully into Himself so that we as His Body can truly build ourselves up in love, together, out from our Head.

Christ and the church
This study delves into the many aspects of the church revealed in Paul's Epistle to the Ephesians, including the Body of Christ, the new man, the kingdom of God, the family of God, God's dwelling place, the bride of Christ, and the warrior. Christ is also unveiled as the One who is rich in mercy, rich in grace, full of love, and even unsearchably rich for our experience and enjoyment. Paul devoted his life to spreading the truth of Christ and the church, and this can especially be seen in Ephesians. This life-study is not only an exposition of these wonderful truths, but an encouragement to enter into the experience of all these rich items related to Christ and the church.
