Wish I Had This Sooner
I picked this up to help my young adult children transition into adulthood, and they all ended up learning a few things! It covers the basics in a way that’s easy to understand without being boring or preachy (a major deal for that age). From budgeting to job information and even basic home skills—it’s all in there. My children actually read it without me having to nag, which says a lot. It’s a go-to guide for anyone just starting out.

This audiobook is like having a wise older sibling guide you through all the things school never taught. From money hacks (student loans made simple!) to mental health tips and even basic home maintenance, it covers EVERYTHING young adults actually need.
The career advice alone is gold—I wish I had those interview strategies years ago! What I love most? It’s practical, not preachy. Whether you’re graduating, starting a job, or just tired of Googling "how to adult," this is your cheat sheet. 10/10—every 20-something needs this!

Wish I Had This At 18
Honestly, I grabbed this to help my nephew, but I ended up reading most of it myself. It covers stuff I had to learn the hard way—basic money smarts, handling emotions, even how to talk to people better. It’s practical without being boring, and the tone isn’t preachy. My nephew actually thanked me, which never happens. Great resource for anyone starting out or needing a reset. Would’ve saved me a lot of stress in my early 20s.

Wish I had this sooner
I grabbed this for my nephew who's just finishing high school, but ended up reading it myself first. It covers all the stuff I had to learn the hard way—money, work, mindset. It's clear, relatable, and doesn’t talk down to you. He’s already started using some of the tips, and it's sparked a lot of good conversations between us. Honestly, I wish I’d had something like this when I was his age.

Wish I Had This Sooner!
I got this for my younger cousin, but I ended up reading through it myself and was impressed. It covers so many real-life topics that school just doesn’t teach—like budgeting, communication, time management, and even basic cooking. It’s easy to follow without being boring or preachy. Honestly, it’s the kind of book I wish I had when I was just starting out on my own. Perfect gift for grads or anyone stepping into adulthood.

to figuring life out
As a young adult trying to juggle everything real adult life throws at me for the first time, this was definitely a good listen. It's perfect if you’re in that in-between space of “technically an adult” but still Googling how to boil an egg. I liked the laid-back tone and how each section is short and direct. Some stuff I already kind of knew, but hearing it explained simply helped it actually click. Wish I had this at 18, but glad I found it now.

Young adult skills
Young adults need skills to prepare them for a real big challenge. I remember when I was a young adult, I did not understand many things, but with time, I learned a little about finance, health, and preparing for a job interview. I had difficulties finding a job because I did not know where to search, I did not know how to prepare for a job interview, etc. I learned from YouTube videos that they gave great tips and sound advice on what to say in a job interview. We must also track expenses like rent, utilities, etc, so our income stretches. I recommend people to set goal settings, learn these skills for our lives, and teach them to teens.
