About this listen
Like any adventurous 12-year-old, all Ella really wants to do is find aliens, get a pet dragon, and maybe explore the galaxy. But her little brother, Leo, keeps ruining everything! After Leo ruins her science fair project, Ella doesn't think things can get any worse. That is, until Ella is kidnapped by aliens, leaving it up to Leo to rescue his sister and save the planet from an alien invasion. It's a lot to ask of a five-year-old. But Leo is no ordinary five-year-old. As Ella could tell you, he is a five-year-old who is very good at ruining things. But can he really ruin an alien invasion? To succeed, he'll need to steal a spaceship, uncover a government conspiracy, and prevent the Earth from being destroyed. Fortunately, Leo is not completely alone. He has help in the form of his stuffed giraffe, a very excited computer, and a space-dragon. But will it be enough? And will he managed to do it all without ruining his clothes?

Leo Ruins Everything . . . Except this book
As an adult, I had a really fun time reading this. I've read all three in the series so far and this one's my favorite. I'm a sucker for space aliens and this book scratched that itch. There were surprisingly high stakes in this story that I did not expect from a book written for a younger audience, which is always welcome. The audio performance was spot on, I particularly liked the pronunciations of the space alien names and the voice Leo (all of them!). Recommended.

You had me at Alien Dragons
Leo Ruins Everything was another fun listen! Engaging for kids of most ages (the “scary” parts are still pretty tame) and filled with space adventures for everyone. Dave Reed has written another family-friendly winner, and Bonniejean Boettcher’s performance is filled with exactly the right level of energy to keep everyone entertained.
