About this listen

The summer I was 12, mowing lawns with Grandpa’s old riding mower turned into big business. With advice from Arnold the stockbroker, I learned all about making money.

Six weeks and hundreds of thousands of dollars later, life got more complicated. You see, the prizefighter I sponsor, Joey Pow, won a big fight. And a TV interview made me famous. As Arnold says, “Capitalism plus publicity equals monster commerce.” Even my best friends wanted a piece of the action. Meanwhile, some scary guys showed up at Joey’s gym. . . .

Gary Paulsen’s funny follow-up to Lawn Boy is full of big surprises and big laughs.

Seems like there could have been better ways to describe the main characters. I can’t imagine a clear picture of any of them.

I like that the main character trusts his parents and he knows he can go to them for help when faced with a big decision.

I enjoy this one just as much as the first . I thought the narrator was a little annoying. It has good humor and a good book for all boys (being one myself).

An awesome addition to lawn boy

I purchased this book for my 10 yr old to inspire him to read about things he was interested in. I started reading it too & couldn't put it down. It was very entertaining. Therefore, I bought the sequel, Lawn Boy returns & it was equally entertaining. My son enjoyed it as well.

Great Children's book
