About this listen
Possessions can be replaced. Memories and loved ones can’t.
The important thing is that my daughter and son are safe after the fire that ripped apart their world as they knew it. And we’re trying to move forward together. Except there’s something I can’t let go of.
My frustration at being ripped off with most of what I owned and taken for a fool. Going after the person responsible risks exposing the dark secrets I’ve been forced to keep, yet I can’t seem to stop myself.
As I buckle my seatbelt and smile at my daughter, Hayley, I know I must tread carefully as she’s endured more than enough heartbreak already. She believes our trip is merely a holiday to start to heal our pain after all that’s happened.
Little does she know that I’m really here to find someone.
However, it’s not only me with this agenda. Before long, three of us are looking for the same person and depending on who gets there first, there could be one of three deadly outcomes.
The picture-perfect location offers no escape for the person we’re pursuing, and ultimately no refuge for any of us when the tables are suddenly turned.

Six months ago, my husband tried to kill me. Now, my sons and I are living in an old Victorian house passed down to me by my uncle. The house may be big, but the town is small. It's safe, which is something I haven't felt in a very long time. And best of all, it's very far away from my ex.

Story
From where I stand in the shadows outside the pub I own, I can already tell what mood my husband’s in and it makes me want to stay exactly where I am. However, I can also see my bar manager, Jay. Sexy, young and exciting, he’s the person who’s going to set me free from my middle-aged monotony. I’m dreading turning fifty more than I’ve dreaded any other birthday in my life. Now that my kids are at university, the prospect of spending the rest of my life with my bullying, balding and boring husband is a miserable one.

Story
They say it’s always beautiful in Bethlam, Nevada. No place you’d rather live. The people are friendly, if a little nosy, and there’s no crime to speak of. Life is pretty perfect. But postal worker Hank Davies has started to suspect something is off in this idyllic little town. And he’s certain of that when he realizes the letters he’s been delivering are just blank pages. Hank isn’t the only one who’s noticed the oddities in Bethlam. One such person knocks on his window in the middle of the night, urging him to investigate his bedroom wall.

Story
Devon Ferrell and Richard Belmont are engaged, in love, and from two different worlds. Devon is as eager to please Richard’s elite parents as she is to leave the traumas of her childhood behind. After all, the Belmonts are her family now. But being brought into the fold is unbalancing her. There are the piercing stares from Richard’s brother, the confounding whispers about Devon’s moods and health. It’s as if the Belmonts are looking for reasons to reject her, to fill her with self-doubt and put her on edge. It’s working. And no one seems to be on Devon’s side. Not even Richard.

Suspenseful and intense!
Last One Standing by Maria Frankland
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is the sequel to Last Orders. It is a great continuation from where book 1 left off.
This story takes off with a bang and is intense the whole way through.
Debra and her daughter, Hailey decide to take a vacation to Turkey. Even though Hailey can’t wait to relax and unwind, her mom has other reasons for going on this trip. She wants to find Jay who double crossed her and stole her money. She’s determined to get her money back, but it won’t be given back easily. There’s lots of twists, turns, secrets and suspense! With a dose of kidnappings, murders and accidents!
I enjoyed the sequel even more than the first book!
I listened to the audio version and the narrator was great!
