About this listen
I was raised a poor girl in the streets of Sinaloa. When my family died during a turf war, I was taken away to Navolato to start over anew. I thought I would be safer here. That the life that had been taken from me in a hail of bullets and rage would stay where I left it. And that’s when he found me. Crying, begging in the streets for spare change, hoping for someone to see me instead of through me. El Señor. He took me in. Cared for me as one of his own, raised me next to his daughter, and made me into the killer that I am today.
In his name, I shed the blood of his enemies and reap whatever rewards he deems fit. My name is Ana Sofia De la Cruz. Everyone knows me as La Carnicera; one of the most feared Sicarios of the Navolato Cartel. Either you’re with us or against us. And if you’re against us...corre, pequeño conejo.

At your own risk 🤣
This sister isn't as f*cked as the other, by comparison. I liked how this is a series and is so full of info and setup for how short it is. Yum, a FFF scene 😏 and a new interesting player. Looking forward to the next book.

Dark and intense
“Either you’re with us or against us. And if you’re against us … Corre pequeño conejo.”
I simply just love listening to an audiobook while reading along with a paperback. The narrator, Kristina Beringer nailed Sofi’s character in La Carnicera and I just love how authentic her voice sounded. It made the experience of envisioning Sofi’s character in my head more clear.
La Carnicera was first featured in the Girl’s Night anthology, but I would pick up this version to read as well since the story has been elevated with some extended content. I was dying to read this book after reading about Sicario’s killing machine in book one, La Princesa.
Ana Sofia De La Cruz is as ruthless as she is beautiful. Adopted daughter of El Señor and sister to Tati, this woman is the most feared Sicario. For being in her presence means death may be near. Sofi and Tati both hold the familia as their number one priorty, but let’s not forget that Sofi still has an agenda. The death of her family still weighs heavy on her conscience, and like any other cartel, people will always have it out for you. In Sofi’s case, the man with the scuffed shoes wants more than what she’s willing to offer.
Let’s also not forget Frank, the gorgeous Gringo who basically forced Sofi into a new friendship with him. This man is an enigma that I can’t wait to read more about.
I love a bit of action in my books and if you’re into reading dark mafia fiction that doesn’t necessarily end in a HEA, then pick up this series. The violent brutality La Carnicera is known for takes somewhat of a backseat as she struggles through her own trauma, but don’t worry..this story features one of the best FFF scenes I have ever read. Bravo, Señora Olson. I’m hooked for life. - Sela
