Story
Caitlyn Sullivan had come from a long line of Hollywood royalty, stretching back to her Irish immigrant great-grandfather. At nine, she was already a star - yet still an innocent child who loved to play hide-and-seek with her cousins at the family home in Big Sur. It was during one of those games that she disappeared. Some may have considered her a pampered princess, but Cate was in fact a smart, scrappy fighter, and she managed to escape her abductors. Callan Cooper was shocked to find the bloodied, exhausted girl huddled in his house.

So touching, insightful, and Relevant! This author obviously spends many hours researching her topics and then puts together a story of live, family, community, and characters that make you wish Edenville existed and you could live there. Beautifully done!

Great series
As my husband tour this great country, we listened to the first 2 books in the series. At our age we can relate and sympathize. All efforts to enlighten readers to that time are appreciated. I pray history never repeats itself.

Love this story
What made the experience of listening to Kiss in the Wind the most enjoyable?
I love the characters in this story. This series is full of amazing characters and an emotionally charged story line that is extremely touching and a pleasure to experience.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite Character is a tough question as it is a tie between Simpson who is an old soul who has been through so much and tries so hard to do what is right, and Franky (His best friends granddaughter) who has such a unique point of view and a very special relationship with Simpson.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene in the book has to be when the town unanimously stands behind Simpson and shows their support after he reveals his secret identity. What a humbling feeling that must be and the book and narration really brought out how special that was for him.

Great Book!
Any additional comments?
This is a great book; this is the second book in the Edenville series written by Danielle Stewart and narrated by Robin Rowan. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator Robin Rowan did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Standing . . . and Facing the Past
The second in the Edenville series, Kiss in the Wind, is told from Simpson's point of view . . . thought to have died in the fire that night long ago when the KKK attacked . . . not even mourned by his family. his father a leader in the Klan, Simpson had secretly left town with Alma and her family . . . on the run . . . eventually changing his name, marrying Alma, joining the army . . . and by the grace of God, living a life far from the treacherous roots of their southern homeland . . . having kept his true identity from even their children, Alma now passed and gone to her maker, Simpson, now an old man, has to face the demons of his childhood . . . keeping his last promise to Alma, he returns to Edenville . . . to find peace . . . but it is anything but peaceful, as he comes to Betty's house, Alma's best friend's, to try and sort things out . . . and wouldn't you know it? Out of the mouth of a child comes the questions that both stir up the hornet's nest . . . and eventually force Simpson . . . and the whole town to look clearly into the past, and own up to their parts in it . . . Feisty Frankie . . . This is a sobering, clear eyed look at the horrific things that we humans have done to one another . . . and the measures that CAN take place when we only but TRY . . . BRAVO! Great Book! Can't wait for the next in the series!
