About this listen

She's his opposite in every way...and the greatest temptation he's ever known.

Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos—and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.

With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.

Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every look and every touch, he’s tempted to break all his rules...and claim her as his own.

***

Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm...except for Kai Young.

It shouldn’t matter. He’s not her type—the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he’s strictly off limits.

But she can’t deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.

No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving into their forbidden desires.

Even if it costs them everything.

King of Pride is a steamy opposites-attract forbidden billionaire romance. It's book two in the Kings of Sin series but can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature listeners only.

DNF

I couldn’t finish it. The male narrator is just too fake and devoid. I really wish they would continue to use the same narrators they started with. Jacob Morgan did such a wonderful job voicing every make in king of wrath, this was just a huge disappointment.

The feather

Okay like 3.75. I didn’t love the Kai’s voice in this it was a bit too like fake British sounding and very serious, couldn’t really feel/hear the emotion in his voice. Especially after listening to King of Wrath where Kai’s voice was GREAT. Overall I liked the plot of this book better than King of Wrath because Kai is much more chill compared to Dante while still businessman vibes he’s less of a morally gray character. I also didn’t think he caused much drama or fights compared to Dante. Kai and Isabella were much better at communicating overall and were really sweet together. This one was a bit funnier too due to Isabella’s character and her personality. “Where the hell did he get a feather from??” KILLED me I could not stop laughing.

Kai's voice ruined it..

I truly can't wrap my head around why they didn't have Jacob Morgan do Kai's voice like in King of Wrath. It was perfect in the first book, but I couldn't take this book serious or get into it because of the new voice. It's so fake and just awful. Love the storyline.

Another great listen!

I loved these narrators, and really enjoyed the characters and the story overall. I think I just missed the enemies to lovers spark that Ana does so well! I’m super excited for more of this world, though because I really am loving the cast of characters.

Loving this series!💜

After listening to King of Wrath I couldn't wait for more! From the moment this audiobook was announced I've been excited to listen to it! I started it as soon as I could and got right back into the Kings of Sin world! I loved this listen so very much!

The fake British accent ruined it for me

I read the first book and enjoyed it although it was too long. This one just didn’t do it for me. I read and listened to this book and the male narrator was awful. His accent wasn’t refined or aristocratic as the book described. It was obviously a narrator attempting an accent poorly. Also, Isabella was so negative and insecure she really got on my nerves. For someone perceived by her friends and Kai as strong she was a hot mess. It took her absolutely to long to see her potential. I didn’t enjoy this one as much and the audible was a waste of credit. I should have just read it since it was on KU.

Love

Love love love this book. Kai would’ve been better read by an actual British man b/c the fake accent was really annoying.

Narrator Not Great

This narration was a let down after King of Wrath’s Joseph Morgan. The fake British accent was too distracting and just terrible. I appreciate wanting to have an Asian lead as narrator, but boy this really hindered the enjoyment of the audiobook. I’ll just read it on the kindle. I literally couldn’t get past the third chapter.
