About this listen
From the best-selling author, Bobby Andrews, comes a thrilling new tale of a post-apocalyptic world. ISIS has unleashed a weaponized version of the deadly Ebola virus, killing 97% of the world's population. Only the immune and those who hunkered down in remote locations remain.
Through the chaos strides a giant of a man known only as Stryker. He is a former Force Recon Marine, who has lost as much as anyone, but fights to preserve his honor and creed in the face of slave traders and rogue military elements who prey on the innocent. Together with his former drill instructor, Sarge, they struggle to eliminate the remaining evil elements in society, even as the nation's infrastructure crumbles and life becomes considerably more difficult. Together, they care for three young women who survived the plague and attempt to give them lives that are as normal as possible under the circumstances.
Follow along as they travel through a world gone mad, determined to defend the weak and innocent against long odds.

Story
When a series of devastating terror attacks brought down the United States, Conor and Barb assumed they were safe in their compound. They had everything they needed. They were armed and highly trained. But then, Barb was kidnapped. The kidnappers didn’t know why Conor was known as The Mad Mick. They didn’t know the fear and respect his name invoked in the shadowy underworld of covert operations. They didn’t know that when it came to protecting his family, he was without conscience, without compassion, and without equal. But they would soon find out.

Story
Before the lights went out, Jack Warrant never considered himself a prepper. That was someone on the edge, a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday cultist who had a fatalistic view of the world. He was neither a theorist nor a cultist. He was an optimist. At least that was what he told himself when the darker thoughts creeped into his psyche as he stared at the ceiling in the middle of the night. Whenever he started down the rabbit hole, he always clawed his way back into the sunlight.

With it being an election year, more and more Americans were waking up to the idea that they truly were behind the curve. The hope was if they did not get sick, run out of money, or could avoid violent mobs, they would be fine.

Story
Akart's standalone novel, ARkStorm, is based on actual events. In 1861, a 43-day series of atmospheric rivers, huge flows of moisture carried from the tropics to the West Coast, turned large swaths of California into an inland sea. The intense rainstorms pounded the state unabated with little respite. Rivers became raging torrents that swept away entire communities, killing thousands. The State’s Central Valley turned a massive body of water 300-miles long and 20-miles wide.

changed Narrator ??!!
What did you like best about Invasion? What did you like least?
BEST - Realistic story
LEAST!! why would you change Narrator? Kevin Pierce did an excellent job on book 1. not sure how much I am liking the new one. Don't like Men doing Women voices. Doesn't stay w/ the voice that is supposed to be the "person". :( sad
What was one of the most memorable moments of Invasion?
IDK. trying to get through the book w/ new Narrator
Would you be willing to try another one of Nathan Glondys’s performances?
Don't like it. I see there are 3 more books he also narrates .
Did Invasion inspire you to do anything?
yes
Any additional comments?
idk if I will do the rest of the series.

Stryker and crew take on ISIS.
The terrorist induced plague which decimated 97% of the world’s population has finally burned itself out. The remaining survivors are immune, wander the countryside gathering supplies, and encounter those who would still rather fight than join ranks. Stryker and Sarge with their female charges consider making their way to the east coast of the country in search of new digs near the ocean. What they find when they reach Corpus Christi on the Texas coast is ISIS troops unloading from cargo ships. It was too late to do anything about the situation now. Sarge was sent to get supplies and explosives and they would meet at an overpass ISIS would have to cross down the road. They came upon another Force Recon survivor, Blane Edwards who was looking for Stryker. An ambush was set and they waited for their prey to show up. Feeling that their job wasn’t completely successful they managed to enlist the help of a Navy fleet off the California coast. Once that was completed Edwards and El headed to Portland to look for Edwards’s family. Stryker, Erin and Hailey started on their journey to San Diego to a safer, more moderate place. This is an excellent story, well-written with well-developed, likable characters.
