About this listen
The UFO subject as we know it came to the public’s attention on June 24, 1947, when private pilot Kenneth Arnold, flying over the Cascade Mountains in the USA, witnessed a formation of objects that he could not identify. Speaking later to a journalist regarding the encounter, Arnold was asked how this formation of objects moved through the air, and his response was: “Like skipping a saucer across a pond.” From that moment on, the coined phrase "Flying Saucer" was born.
Since that time, the UFO subject has been studied by a variety of military agencies, scientists, and of course, civilian-run organisations. As a result, there are thousands of UFO books and magazines available, plus countless news items and documentaries on television, social media, and of course online. Very few of these cater for a younger audience, so that is where our book Introducing UFOs: A Young Person’s Guide steps in. I think the title says it all.
In this book, we look at selected case histories from the 1940s onwards. These documentations are not meant to be in-depth, but rather to illustrate the case in as brief a way as possible, without missing any salient points. The case histories chosen for this book come from around the world and are accompanied by illustrations, documents, photographs, and maps. Each chapter is split into decades and comes complete with its own piece of unique artwork. The book also provides an overview on what to do if you encounter a UFO and discusses, in brief, some of the many theories put forward to try and explain the phenomenon. This book is designed with a young adolescent audience in mind and comes complete with a photo section, with a series of authentic UFO photographs from around the world.

There is a clear conspiracy to deny the existence of UFOs. The mainstream media has misinformed us for years about UFO studies conducted by highly regarded scientists associated with some of the finest universities in the country. There is significant evidence that the US government has covered up the alien presence through misinformation, distortion, obfuscation, and ridicule. Some prominent, politically connected scientists have engaged in the cover up.

Story
Somewhere deep beneath the wild seas of the southern Indian Ocean, perhaps in the eerie underwater canyons of Broken Ridge along the Seventh Arc satellite band, lies the answer to the world's greatest aviation mystery. Why, on the night of 8 March 2014, did Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 suddenly U-turn, zig-zag up the Straits of Malacca, then vanish with 239 souls on board? Was it an elaborate murder-suicide by a rogue pilot? A terrible accident such as onboard fire, rapid decompression or systems failure? A terrorist hijacking gone wrong? Or something else entirely?

The original book made into this audiobook is the first in-depth, authoritative look at the flying-saucer phenomenon and is considered to this day to be one of the best works on the subject ever made. Donald Keyhoe includes a number of documented cases where thousands of people witnessed strange objects in the sky, all at the same time and in various parts of the country. Eyewitnesses are interviewed, and much is done to show how and why the veil of government secrecy was enforced.

Now, as governments around the world open their files and records on internal UFO investigations, the US remains steadfast in its denial of interest in the UFO issue. As more of the world's population accepts the possibility of an extraterrestrial presence, the demand is building for disclosure from the United States.
