Story
An affair: It can rob a couple of their relationship, their happiness, their very identity. And yet this extremely common human experience is so poorly understood. Adultery has existed since marriage was invented, and so, too, the prohibition against it - in fact it has a tenacity that marriage can only envy. Iconic couples' therapist and best-selling author of Mating in Captivity Esther Perel returns with a groundbreaking and provocative look at infidelity, arguing for a more nuanced and less judgmental conversation about our transgressions.

Uneducated, damaging and offensive misinformation
This book is complete uneducated drivel. The author has a very narrow chauvinistic point of view on relationships and had clearly done no research to back up his claims. No sources are cited and all presented evidence is purely anecdotal, which makes it meaningless in any academic sense. Each chapter is simply an uneducated rant by the author complaining about a certain aspect of relationships. Leaps of logic, sweeping generalizations, and false dichotomies are in every paragraph. Towards the end of the book, he speaks very offensively about people with mental illnesses and his claims clearly show that he knows exactly nothing about real psychology. He also misrepresents depression and prescribes remedies that don't work. The relationship advice in this book is full of ignorance and describes only one type of person, not surprising considering the clear lack of research that went into this work. A large portion of it sets bad expectations which will create more strife than harmony in most relationships. The information contained is uneducated, damaging and offensive. Don't waste your money.

Ridiculous
Who would sit through this entire script after the sexist tones that emerge and still be comfortable with the fact that this is how they are earning their rent money. If I were tasked with this I’d sooner be a stripper or sugar baby...”for Fidelity’s sake”. Jfc. Take this biased bullshit off audible.
