"Incredible Unlimited Memory" has excellent tips and methods for memorization and for improving your memory. Scientists have yet to discover many things about the brain, but what they do know is simplified here for the layperson. This book describes the different types of memories: sensory, long-term, short-term, and some subcategories of each, as well as different types of memory disorders and what can be done to protect yourself from them. I had no idea that stress was one such memory inhibitor.

A couple of things that stood out to me were the idea of "limiting beliefs," or "limiting memories." For example, if you believe you are bad at math, or remember that you were previously bad at math, this hinders you from realizing your potential in math. Additionally, I had no idea how important sleep is to memory. Sleep is believed to be the way the brain turns short term memories into long term ones. Power naps are a great tool to boost your learning and memory.

This book outlines half a dozen memory techniques for remembering people's names, or in order to give a speech without looking at your notes. I am eager to utilize some of these as I am studying Spanish right now. These techniques would also be incredibly useful in learning to play a musical instrument. A great read that I will surely return to!

I always thought memory was just something you had or didn’t—but this audiobook broke it down in a way that actually made sense. The techniques were easy to try, and I’ve already noticed I’m recalling names and details way faster. Didn’t feel too “sciencey,” but it’s clear the info is legit. I started listening during my commute, thinking it’d be just another productivity hype. But the memory drills were surprisingly doable, even fun. I've been using them to study for work certifications, and my recall is sharper than ever. Also, weirdly enough, I feel more mentally energized throughout the day. Definitely not what I expected in the best way.

If you are looking for a quick way to having an amazing memory then this book isn't for you. However, if you are looking for a guide to help you understand how our memory works and give exercises to improve your memory then you'll find this book very useful. Ethan Lucas breaks down how our memory works and what we can do to break the molds we put ourselves in. It takes a willingness to look at your own mind and determination to work on the exercises given. It's nothing that will happen overnight but if you are serious then you could gain as much as you put in. The narration was nicely done. Ronald Hillman has a nice voice and speaks in an easy cadence.

I didn’t expect this audiobook to be so practical, but it really is! It breaks down how memory works in simple terms and then shows you how to improve it step by step. Some of the techniques felt a little intense at first, but once I practiced a few, I could already tell my recall was sharper—especially with names and small details. I liked that it also talked about protecting your memory long-term. Great listen if you’re into self-improvement or learning hacks.

This book breaks down and shows some useful ways to both improve your memory and why you might not remember things, to begin with. I don't know what exactly I expected to find within, but what I got is definitely the realistic side of improving your memory and not some movie fantasy version of perfect memory. We get a breakdown of memory issues, techniques to improve memory and tips to enact to help us make these things a habit. As with most things in life once you look beyond the idealized versions of them you find that the way to get these things takes a lot of hard work and dedication, memory is no exception. The narration was solid with a good clear voice and an even pace to deliver all the information in a manner to help me consume it. This book both illuminates the magical "photographic memory" and helps you learn things to help yourself remember things better and clearer.
