About this listen
James Claiborne was an individual who had two beliefs that defined his life, and that which came after. First off, your memories are what define who you are. Both the good and the bad. Without your memories you can not learn from your triumphs, or your failures. And secondly, he always could imagine a better world. Despite having experienced violence as a youth, he could imagine a world without violence. With peace in mind, he left New York City, and a tour in Afghanistan, to teach in the most peaceful place he could think of, Iowa. It didn’t work out so well in Iowa, yet he held to those beliefs and these would determine all that followed. The question is, what do you imagine comes next, because as James found out, it really matters.
