About this listen
A forbidden love story set in the 1930s with the Canary Islands as the backdrop. It all begins with the inheritance of an ancient chest. In it, Luisa López treasures objects that will take us through Cuba and the Canary Islands. Discover the way of life on the islands, as a young woman escapes from an arranged marriage and finds love where no one expects it.
About the writer:
Born in 1984, Yara Medina/Jane Hormuth (pseudonyms which this young writer uses depending on the theme of each book) grew up on the island of Gran Canaria. Her love for reading blossomed in her teenage years when she began to devour books and, after more than a decade of writing her own stories, she decided that 2014 was the right time for them to be revealed. This book is the first that she has published under the pseudonym of Yara Medina, and its pages are embellished with the love that she feels for the Canary Islands.
