Story
K2 O’Hero is a seemingly ordinary boy—after all, he and his twin sister, Izzabird, have been sworn to keep their family's Magical history a secret. Not even their infuriating stepsiblings, Theo and Mabel, know that Magic exists. They believe K2 to be the most hopeless person they have ever known. But K2 has a secret gift: He draws maps of worlds that are beyond the wildest imaginations. Worlds with six hundred moons, burning rivers, and dark, twisty jungles alive with plants that hunt by the smell of fear. But what K2 doesn’t know is that the maps he draws are real.

Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

great story and performance
Hiccup continues to grow. His friends have his back as always. The bad guys are multiple and vindictive, but our heroes persevere, sometimes it is quite unbelievable, but within this story's style. The humor is still enjoyable, and there it's even a poignant and not very preachy lesson.
The performance is brilliant, of course.

Fun with an awesome narrator.
Everybody says this series is perfect for boys between 8-12 years old. But I'm here to tell you that adult woman can like them too. I did start this series with my 10 year old but quickly grew tired of waiting for him and continued on listening to them by myself. I will be happy to go back and listen to them again, they were that much fun. I just love Stoak and Fishlegs they are always good for a laugh. I love the narrator, he makes these book that much more awesome.
