This book has some great ideas to help you deal with an overactive brain. For me it’s not a great one to listen to while falling asleep but great while doing chores. I will refer back to this when I start to experience anxiety and overthinking again.

Its so nice to have a book that helps you to calm yourself through a anxiety/ panic attack. I am almost 50, and back when I was younger this kind of book was unheard of or if you purchased something like this in the store people would think you were crazy or an ax murderer LOL! WE have come a long way from the old fashion world and thinking and its nice to have a book that relate to everyday problems especially mental health and self help books like this. I thank you for dedicating this book to those that need that calm and relax once in a while. We all need to slow down at times take a breather and stop worrying and just learn to be...... Thanks again Layla Moon!! we ladies need and should be able to read more material like this without the world judging us assuming that we have severe mental issues just because we owe it to ourselves to be cool, calm and sexy LOL! We should not be judged just because we need to pace ourselves and slow down sometimes.

The book is easy to listen to and the topics are presented in a well thought out way. There are other materials out there but Ms. Moon provides clear instructions for the suggested methods. This book will help people and is an excellent reference for any sufferers with the hamster constantly running on his wheel in their head.

I probably should have gotten the printed copy instead of the audio book. I could not stop over thinking while listening to it. But, the times I was able to concentrate I definitely picked up some good tips and tricks on how to quiet my mind. I already put them to good use and have seen a slight improvement so far.

Well written and easy listen with several techniques to help retrain your brain. I am an overthinker and I am ready to let go and live a little more freely, so this book came into my awareness at the perfect time. But I think I would encourage anyone and everyone to learn these techniques, even if they are not anxious or a worrier, because I believe that they are helpful even if you are just coping with day to day stresses.

Layla discusses overthinking and it's negative effects on one's life and how overthinking can be both emotionally and physicality draining. She states that overthinking can also be a symptom of mental health conditions like anxiety and depression. She states that psychological conditions can vary dramatically in their nature and impact, sometimes based on life’s circumstances and sometimes being a biological condition that requires medical help and treatment.

She discusses some possible causes of one's overthinking could be coming from the individual, not you as a person, but rather the series of events and experiences one may have been a part of throughout their life.

She discusses some of the negative physical effects of overthinking, ranging from weight gain, mostly around the midsection and upper back, rounding of one's face, acne and poor-quality skin, severe fatigue, to difficulty concentrating, high blood pressure, to even having headaches.

Throughout this book, Layla discusses methods one can use to be able to break the cycle of overthinking so you can address the problems at their core. Some of the methods discussed are dealing with stress when it arises, paying attention to what you’re feelings, deep breathing, determining what are some of your stress sources, i.e., financial issues, health problems (physical and mental), problems or conflicts at work, conflicts in your family or friendships, losing your job, or as simple as arguing with a friend.

She discusses in great length many tips to overcome anxiety, several methods for calming an overthinking mind, ways to deal with fears and worries and when our own methods are not working, that we should seek therapy and professional services.

This book is basically a great source of information for all of us, especially dealing with the situations and problems arising from COVID 19 and even everyday life problems.
