Would you listen to How to Beat the Wheat again? Why?

I actually will be referring back to it over and over, so yes. My girlfriend has Hashimoto Syndrome, and she has symptoms that mimic Celiac disease, and must not have any gluten, dairy, egg or nightshades.

What other book might you compare How to Beat the Wheat to and why?

Wheat Belly and Grain Brain are two that come to mind.

What about Cory Mikhals’s performance did you like?

Without sounding dire or horrified, Cory's enthusiastic and clear, sharp performance is spot on, and makes it evident that you need to understand the warnings and solutions given in the audiobook to change your diet. He manages to balance giving some scary and complex information with encouraging the listener to make the changes needed. Cory is lovely to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It wasn't new information to me, but there were details, like sprouting, that I didn't have familiarity with.

Any additional comments?

I just wish this was longer! I wanted to hear more, and certainly wanted to make Suzie and Cory more a part of my day.

Nice compact guide to a gluten free life
