About this listen

For centuries the dragon keepers were the custodians and caretakers of the most prestigious and elite species of animal in the known universe ... Dragons.

Merlin becomes an official Dragon Keeper and is given the responsibility of caring for Dracon, a newborn and son of the mightiest dragon on the earth, Merlineld.

Merlin is also entrusted with the care of the Book of Dragons, called the Draconic Tome. The Tome is a history of the dragons since the beginning of time. It is a key to time itself and a gateway to other worlds in the Universe.

Possibly meant for a 10 year old

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book might be better suited for someone looking for a light "read" not really wanting to get pulled into the book.

Would you be willing to try another one of Aaron Holbrook’s performances?

No

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Awful in all respects

The voice actors had no acting ability and most sounded like they were speaking through a tube with a bad mic. Full of plot holes that are typical of children's books, this seems to be an attempt to explain how Merlin and a dragon ended up alone on earth to help King Arthur in later tales. Everything felt made up and arbitrary, like the lack of explanation for why dragons need humans to raise their offspring. The only good thing I can say is that I'm glad dragons were the good guys and that I enjoyed the few scenes between dragon mom and her son.
