About this listen
Welcome to Snowflake, Colorado - a small town where wishes come true!
When six old high school friends receive a letter that their fellow friend Charity Hart wrote before she passed away, their lives take an unexpected turn. She leaves them each a check for $1,500 and asks them to grant a wish - a secret wish - for someone else by Christmas. It sounds simple, but the friends soon discover that it isn’t as easy as it seems!
With the clock ticking, will they make it happen in time? Join Mia, Caro, Nate, Sara, Holly, and Taye on their journey to make a wish come true and find love along the way.
Holly’s Gift
Miracles don’t always come easy. Sometimes it takes a secret wish to light an angel’s way.
When Holly steps into a homeless shelter looking for an MIA piano student, she notices a distinct lack of Christmas cheer because a handsome building inspector is forcing the shelter to temporarily close down.
Holly knows bad guys - she was married to one. Yet, when the man asks her out, she finds herself agreeing with an absolute yes.
Tim Stewart doesn’t hold his breath waiting for God to answer prayers. He went from homeless desperation to television stardom to relative obscurity while God stayed silent. But when Holly barrels into his life, her steady faith sparks hope for a dream of his own. Even if it means praying for a Christmas miracle, one last time.
Remembered sadness is the stepping stone to tomorrow’s joy.

Story
When Dorothy Thompson returns to Cherish, SC, to play piano for her brother’s wedding, memories and fear nearly paralyzes her fingers. If anyone she knew back in high school discovers her secret, the whispers will start. Fake. Fraud. Failure. It’s not as if she can blame God for her troubles. No, she did that all by herself. But, remembering His lessons, she’s fighting to get back on track. All she can do is pray the wedding vocalist—her brother’s friend Ryan, a rising opera star—won’t notice the way her hands shake. When Ryan Edwards sets foot inside a church for the first time in years, he’s no longer the pitiable kid from the poor side of town, but someone who’s made it on his own. Without God’s help—not that He ever cared about misfits like Ryan, anyway.

Story
Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

I really, really loved this story
This is an exceptional story of helping those less fortunate. Even though $1500 isn't enough to fix the electrical problems at a homeless shelter, Holly finds a way to raise more money to meet the need. Then that need is met again by another person so the first money can do even more. I love this statement about the book: "Remembered sadness is the stepping stone to tomorrow's joy"- something I need to remember for my own life. This story I will enjoy listening to again & again. Would give it 10 stars. I received a free audible from the author. This is my voluntary review.

Inspirational Christmas
This is a wonderful story about what Christmas should be about. Holly is trying to help one of her piano students and Tim is trying to do his job which will leave a lot of people in a hard place over the holidays. When Holly and Tim collide they have no idea how their paths will intertwine or where that will lead them. Josie has written another delightful book, as always. No inappropriate language or content, as always.
The narrator does a wonderful job. Always a plus for listening to an audio book.

Charming and Inspiring
Holly’s Gift is a charming and inspiring Christmas romance. Holly’s faith and the giving spirit of the community is heartwarming. The main and supporting characters are so realistic and their issues are (unfortunately) a common theme in today’s world making this story believable and easy to get pulled into. The narrator did a great job and her performance enhanced the listening experience.
I received a free copy of this audiobook and have chosen to give my honest opinion.

Great Read
Holly's Gift (Small-Town Christmas Wishes #5) was a great read by Josie Riviera. Holly goes into a homeless shelter looking for a piano student that hasn't shown up for her lessons. She notices that a handsome building inspector is forcing the shelter to temporarily close down. Tim Stewart doesn't want to close down the shelter but the building is unsafe. he went from homeless desperation to television stardom to obscurity. Holly barrels into his life and sparks some face and hope for him. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.
