About this listen
When Ryan's dying father gives him a sealed shoebox with instructions to open once he's passed, Ryan can only speculate on what's inside. The last thing he expects is for his father to take his own life, or for the shoebox to contain ten thousand dollars cash.
But the money isn't for Ryan; it's for someone named Jamie Norton. When Ryan learns Jamie is an old friend of the family with a shady past, he looks to his mother for answers.
But he isn't the only one looking.
Ryan thought he knew his parents. But the deeper he digs, the more he learns that some families will do whatever it takes to keep their secrets buried—no matter what the cost.

Twisty suspense!!
DON'T SLEEP ON THIS AUTHOR!!! This thriller is full of twists and turns and begins in the best way possible, the reader is dropped right into the action and left asking questions immediately, craving more and more information about the characters. Ryan and Rachel are endearing but other characters seem to have dark pasts that slowly unfold as the story progresses. I binged this read on a recent road trip as once you dive in, you won't be able to stop until the final page!!! Highly recommend and as an avid reader in this suspense thriller genre, I will be looking to more books by this author!

kept me wanting to know more
LOVED this story. It kept my attention the whole time. That said, multi tasking wasn't good. You learn so much as things go.
Definitely highly recommend.
